  Not the proposed version in the story...NOPE.

  I don't like the second prize and the forced Megaplier.

  $5 is not the deal breaker for me as $1 form when Michigan first started its lottery in 1972 is $7.30 in 2023 according to the official inflation calculator (so at least about $7.50 this year)

  The Prize back then was $1000000

  Which would indicate a second prize of $5,000,000 for a five dollar ticket (2/3*7,500,000).

  The odds should be better and the megaplier should be an option and the second prize should be better.

  If they came up with a better version than the one in the story then I probably would only play that version.

  As it is now, I only play 3 draw games and they don't include Powerball or Mega Millions cause nobody wins those.

  For $5 they should give you 2 lines of play. I'd rather have that than a forced multiplier.

  I only start playing at $200M CV as it is now, due to the last changes. At $5 a play, $500M+ Cash Value seems to be a reasonable starting point.

  I don't plan on playing it a lot but whenb the cash valued is over that amount I'll play.

  Those who run the lotteries love it when players look for consistency in something that's designed not to have any. So many systems, so many theories, so few jackpot winners.

  I will definitely play pretty much most drawings, cause i am a fool,  what can i say. You can tell these things are rigged especially when they delay if any body "won" or the drawing numbers, even, on the giant jackpots, until the next day sometimes into the PM hours. I remember when a person from Massachusetts had a press conference, and she was an actor for sure, did not seem the least bit excited, seemed kinda irritated to say the least. Meh but me I think the glass is full, because i do not want to be bitter, due to the chance that the miniscule chance it is real, and not all smoke  and mirrors. I live close to where  Bunky Bartlett the Mega Millions winner from Maryland lived , that split a big jackpot 3 ways. I went to the road he lived on as I remember reading a story that he had his house demolished for some reason, so i went to check the road out where he lived, and there was a parcel of land that was newly leveled off so it seemed real. He allegedly on the radio said his new house where he was moving to did not have his favorite local Sub Shop Chain, so he built one and owns it, also there was no Cable for Xfinity and he had thousands of dollars worth of cable run for his new house, he said on a radio interview.  So i will still play, most draws.

  A 46 line 2 if 5 of 56 number abbreviated wheel "Useful for Mega Millions" is still at the bottom of the Pick 5 lottery wheels page and show how MM has evolved through the years. I'd agree raising the ticket price to $5 is a big jump but nothing compared to the $20, $30, and $50 a ticket scratchers. 

  It's simply supply and demand; they will offer game as long a players are buying tickets. I still play both games but mostly when the jackpots support ticket sales a more than 50%. Probably won't buy very many $5 tickets if any.
