At about five minutes after one PM this afternoon the first midday drawing of FF5 is going to be held. I'm very curious to see what the jackpot amount will be provided of course, that somebody even wins the jackpot.
I have to believe ticket sales over night last night were not very robust. There's no way they could have sold approximately $300,000 worth of tickets after eleven fifteen PM last night. If they did, half of that amount ($150,000) would have been allocated to the winners pool, and 62% of that amount ($93,000) would be have been allocated to one winner of the jackpot.
Given that most players probably aren't aware that today is the day, the time of day that the midday drawing will be held, and did not use a playslip to choose which drawing they wanted to be in and therefore they automatically got a ticket for the midday drawing, the jackpot (if one is won) just wont be very big.
It will take players some time to adjust to the change and figure out what's going on. But I have faith that players are smart and they eventually will catch on. If you buy a ticket this afternoon, after the midday drawing has been held, and you dont mark anything on the playslip, then you will be automatically entered into tonight's drawing at eleven fifteen PM. That's probably going to happen to a lot of players. That makes me think tonight's jackpot (if somebody wins it) will be fairly close to normal. Hope so anyway. G5
