Very nice win! The $1k+ prizes on the Gold Rush games are very hard to hit.
Thanks gatorsrok,
YES THEY ARE! :)
Been getting crushed on 100X and WCC hasn't been much better so i decided to play some GRD and am really glad i did. Full pack returned $1545 and had the $1K plus 3 - $100s in it. Been averaging around $650/$1000 on WCC and 100X has been the most painful of all games i play. Lucky to average $400/$900 on a lot of packs over the past month....really tough game and I haven't seen one 20X, 50X or 100X yet.

I've given up on the 100X. It has been over 2 weeks since I've bought one of those tickets. Right now, I'm buying the two $20 Gold Rush games and dabbling in the $5 Gold Rush and Full of 500s. I throw in a few drawing game quick picks for delayed gratification (or disappointment). I'll start going back to the WCC in a few weeks.
I wish you the best of luck. There still appears to be at least one $15M prize floating around in the 100X and the $20 GRD may have a $5M prize due in a month or so.

I agree with you 100% Dracos!!!
As a book buyer of $20-$25-$30 games the past 20 years i can promise everyone its a losing proposition. I knew from the beginning unless i happen to hit a game changing win of $50k or more it was gonna be ugly and after 20 years of buying books and hoping for a monster prize its real ugly.... but i still buy them. My biggest win is 20k on the old 100X $25 game but i do have and handful of $5k and $10k wins along with well over 100 wins of $1k. (Yes, I have every W2G issued from the lottery since day 1 of my scratch off adventure began) The annual joke in my family is that if i ever hit a $100k prize i am still in the hole but if i hit a $1M prize i will actually be in the black for the first time ever...lmao...and that is the harsh reality.
$25 WCC is selling much, faster than ever before for those who buy and follow the game. I just bought two books in the 658,000s and given there are only 714,000 total books being printed that is amazing how soon this game will end. There are currently 9/46 $1M prizes remaining and 1/2 $10M prize left. The best and rare part of this game is that the lottery has not skipped book numbers on this game yet and since its this late I doubt they will. I have played and tracked this game since it started. The previous 37 $1M winning book numbers all fall into place without any large gaps between them. Every 15,522 books on average has produced a $1M winning ticket. As you all know, they skipped many book numbers on $10M Fortune but so far not on World Class Cash.
As a quick frustrating rant,
I have entered well over 400 tickets into the second chance drawings of 100X so i have about 12,000 entries give or take if you really get 30 entries per ticket. I have not won a single prize however i noticed 3 people (they are from Miami, Pensacola and Hudson) have won more than once so far this year on these drawings.....either they are incredibly lucky and i do mean incredibly lucky or they scratch a serious amount of books and have spent tens of thousands so far...you choose. Good for them and really puzzling for me:(
Your 20 years of book buying is certainly proof enough to me combined with my several tries at books that a one and done or a few and done are where most winners are found.

Your right and I wanted to tell it like it is so that everyone out there can see that book buying is certainly not the way to go. The one and done or buying a few at a time is the right way no doubt about it. Book buying is my choice for a variety of reasons and profitability certainly isn't one of them.

I figure I would rather lose $400 from buying a book than $400 from buying random tickets out of the machine
Scratch offs in general are a losing proposition you just have to get lucky

Thanks for the good luck wishes gatorsrok! I like your choice of games and wish you the best of luck also. The $5 gold rush has got to be hands down the best bang for your buck ticket out there regardless of price. A $5.00 ticket with a top prize of $500k and odds better than 90% of the games out there including 100X....lmao.....i don't think many people out there realize that with $5 gold rush there is a $500,000 winner every 20,000 packs and with packs of 60 tix only costing $300 compared to games like 100X its not even close. Best shot at a life-changer for sure and I am kinda surprised more forum members don't play that game exclusively. I buy my parents books of that game all the time and my 78 year old Dad hit $1000 on it earlier this year which is a miracle in itself. :)

That is one of the reasons i buy books also James1.....i like the idea of scratching the entire book and seeing the results for myself and cannot stand buying one or two out of a machine but its a personal choice. I am a dreamer and love to gamble so scratch-offs are both entertaining and satisfy the gambler in me. There are certainly a losing proposition as i have clearly proven over the past 20 years but there is always a chance......a very small chance that one day I will find the elusive $100k or $1M winner....that is what keeps me sending all those kids to college on Bright Futures Scholarships.

bought another book of 1249 today #223-xxxx, 245/600, yeah that sucked, went to cash in my winners & bought some more 1249, the last 15 off of a roll #220-xxxx, won 590, I've heard that around the state there are still books that go as low as #180-xxxx, i haven't seen any in s.fl, I'm thinking the last 3 mil is going to found somewhere around #210-222

Hey JACKPOT - I might have posted this a while back - BIG JIM (not on LP) buys only one ticket at a time - was at the 7 11 next to PUBLIX where STEVE the midget, BIG JIM and I will sometimes buy tickets together, sit on the bench next to PUBLIX , shoot the sh1t and scratch tickets. Then one day BIG JIM walks over to the the 7 11 to buy a ticket ... the lottery TV monitor in the store by the scratchers is showing a $5 dollar GOLD RUSH winner saying, "YOU CAN WIN $500K" ... that caught BIG JIMs eye.. so he buys his one ... scratches it in the store .....BOOM !!! $500K !!!! Had his photo taken at Lottery Head Quarters ... it was on FlLottery website - there he was with a big grin holding a cardboard replica $500K check ..... the only thing BIG JIM bought with his winnings a few weeks later was a 3 year old Altima .......he traded in a 20 year old OLDS 98 , no air, burned oil like crazy with about 300K on the speedo ....... BIG JIM was very frugal, single, never married and 49 years old ....... a few weeks after he bought the Altima he dropped dead in front of his rental condo ..... neighbors found him lying on the grass by the walkway ...... dead ..... his only family/survivor was his sister .... a druggie ....
Sure miss the guy - he never swore, didn't drink or smoke - about 6'8" - looked like a linebacker, always soft spoken ......

Sad story there Ed..
Reminds me of this guy who hit $500K on the old Gold Rush and lost it all back on tickets, drugs and hookers in 6 months. Then he went back to being flat broke on disability income

Hey Skeptic,
That is a really sad story and I am sorry to hear about BIG JIM......My parents are approaching 80 and love scratch-offs and will not let me buy them anything over $5.00 ...lmao...gotta love them....so i started buying them books of $5.00 GRD last year and they just love em.....seriously....they only want that game and get so excited over the $50 and $100 prizes its priceless...when my dad scratched off his first ever $1000 winner this year he about had a stroke and drove over to the lottery office in Altamonte Springs with my mom to claim it....just hilarious if you knew them and how they drive...if you ever saw the movie "driving miss daisy" well that is my dad...slow and steady. The $5.00 GRD is a family favorite for sure and offers a great bang for your buck.
I have no idea how many people on this forum buy full packs and figure you and james1 are in that group along with myself. The absolute thrill of it for me is finding a hot pack as i love to call them....one that has a $1K, a $500 and some $100's or even better....the old 100X game gave me a few of the most exciting hot packs ever...i hit a $20k along with a $1k and four 100s in the same pack...now that was incredibly exciting. This morning I bought a pack of $20 GRD and hit for $1545 which is one hell of a lot of fun. The pack had $1k and 3 - $100s.

Well that's a bit curious.
Winning Streak had no winners for about a year and a half, then one is found at the beginning of March, and then another one in the last few days (based on the remaining prizes page). I'm curious what the book #s on those two are. I'm guessing/assuming that one of the two were on a book that'd been sitting in a safe unactivated until recently .. of course that's not necessarily the case, just seems to make more sense to me.
