I thought FL had the "Scratch to Cash" precaution, where the bar code needed to redeem or verify the prize was confined to a small square in the corner of the ticket.
Do y'all use security numbers or what? How were some clerks micro-scratching, or pinning?

Sad part is I had a system going where anything over the cost of the ticket is profit (obviously) so I was supposed to be putting that back. I couldn't afford to play the rest of the roll without cashing in the the winners and continuing playing. I still have a strong, nagging feeling to go back to this gas station and finish out the rest. What I did notice with these particular rolls is that every other card on the alternate roll was a winner of some sort. I played off two rolls at once, For example, if number 014 was a winner on one roll 014 was a loser on the other roll. My question really would be is there a definite moneybag or a big prize on the rest because I'm seriously considering going back tomorrow and buying out the rest of that roll since I've never seen the Ten Mill Fortune play out so well like that! Needless to say there were a good number of duds, of course, but I have a nagging feeling there's a big winner towards the end of the roll.
I like the $2 games now and I play a variety of them. I like Double Deuces, Fast $100, Monopoly (although I don't seem to have the luck for Monopoly) and Loteria. Loteria is one I haven't heard many talk about on here. It's a fun game but most scratchers for that game are duds. Fun to play though, lol.
Haven't found a $5 or $10 ticket I like yet.
Loteria was a favorite ticket of mine, except they were going for $3 in my state. Found the biggest prize I've ever gotten on $3 Ticket on Loteria ($75). It was off just 1. Filled out the 50, 20, and 5 dollar columns.

Gold Rush Doublers have been a distaster for me! I quit playing that one awhile back. Tried one recently to see what it would produce and as predicted, a loser. Something not right with that game. LOTS of losers and for that price range you'd expect better.
I do love the $20 Gold Rushes and 000 has won every time for me except yesterday, which was strange because this was a brand new roll. Was shocked.
Scratchers are NOT completely random, from what I've noticed, particularly in the higher dollar games. But that is just my observation. Some numbers seem to produce over and over, even if just face value.
I like Loose Change. Has anyone hit the $1,000 prize from that one yet?

Picking up on the vending machine issue from the other day, I've ran some numbers and I think its clear that a good chunk of the missing 10,000 rolls are from the rolls that the FL lottery picks up out of the vending machine to replace with the newer games. Publix (782 locations), Winn-Dixie (200 locations), Wawa (100 locations), Race-Trac (100+ locations), Turnpike Service Plaza's, Pilot/Love's/TAs, and others I'm probably missing. there's probably close to 2,000 vending machines. And when new games start out in them, they usually have more than 1 slot, maybe 2 or even 3 to start off with.
So here's an important question. At the time 2MJ and SM were being removed out of vending machine slots to make room for more games can anyone confirm that the lottery had released rolls in the 250-277K for sale? Also have to take into account that the removal may have been gradual. Some new games get 2 or more slots in the machines which both SM and 2MJ might have had at one time, then lost one of their slots to newer games before being taken out completely. If they did, then we may be chasing a ghost with the remaining supply because the odds are a lot higher it got picked up and destroyed.
Not a bad hypothesis. I started playing the lottery in Jan 2016, and I remember seeing Super Millions in the machine then. On Jan 27th, someone claimed a Super Millions jackpot in Tarpon Springs.
I don't remember seeing Super Millions in Publix anytime after Jan 2016. I remember my Publix replacing the game with an extra slot of Gold Rush. I didn't play Super Millions at all back then because I remember how few prizes it had. I personally don't think Super Millions, or 2MJ would have been affected by vending machines since the time they would have been removed would be before the current book ranges which are prime for the final jackpots.
I do think the typical foul play, or "causes occurring in the normal course of business" which Florida Lottery calls it could have affected the final prizes through stores shutting down, retailers sending back active books to receive a credit, etc. Still, I would like to think this would be a minimal number.
Isn't the average number of prizes not claimed around 1-2%? 1% of Super Millions tickets being tossed/thrown away would account for 6666 tickets roughly. If you were to use 2%, then that would be about 13,000 tickets, which would more than likely account for the discrepancy between the Instant Liability Reports and Book Inventory Reports.
Thoughts?
@ FreeSpirit- Welcome to the forum! With the odds being 1 in 40k for that prize, it wouldn't surprise me if someone hits that here. Jasefan is overdue! In regards to that $25 Fortune roll you played, it sounds like you played through a hot roll. Most of those rolls only have 1 $100 winner. I personally like to buy random 2-5 tickets at a time from that game to avoid buying into "cold" rolls which may pay back the minimum.
@ Dreamer - Those are normal returns. Arguably, the $5 Money Money Money book returned a better than average return.
@ Dragonsofra - We do have a bar code that needs to be scratched at the bottom. Apparently if just a small part of it is exposed, it can be scanned. It seems that one clerk figured out exactly which part(s) needed to be exposed. The scary thing is that I remember seeing odd scratches on my tickets when I was in South Florida. It wouldn't surprise me if there were more microscratching going on across the state, but most people wouldn't think anything of them. Most people would assume the ticket brushed up against a surface or something if they even noticed.

Wow never considered that...might have saved me some money lol. Thankfully Dracos hit the 100k so we at least know that between him and Adam that it is still possible to get a big win but again probably a lot harder.
As for the fortune tickets I would take the money and run lol. It's all random so there's a good chance that roll is done paying out and you would just be giving the money back. I am noticing better returns in bigger cities which makes me want to stop playing in Ocala and smaller towns but that's just a personal opinion really lol
Not sure, Dracos. The 2% could explain the difference. I just wish the FL Lottery would provide detailed record keeping so we could have an idea of what actually has been destroyed and not available for sale.
Are you still playing 2MJ Ron? There's 2 places on the East side at Speedy's NE49thSt & NE36th Ave, and the Chevron on Silver Springs Blvd (Lucky's) b/w NE13th & 14th AVe that show up on the list. I have to fill up my car for the week tonight and was going to check those out, but if your going after them, I won't get them. I'm not sure what the roll numbers are for those locations, though. Or Dracos, did you hit this area already while checking out Anthony Food Mart?

Dracos, I think so too and that's why my gut is telling me to go back and get the rest of the roll. I couldn't believe how many hundred dollar winners were in it! This store was just remodeled and opened and everything was on the first off the roll 000. Someone beat me to the Gold Rush 000 but I'll let you know how the rest of the roll comes out (if I can get to it tomorrow). It's in an economically depressed area and most people play the cheaper scratchers so both rolls should still be close to the end. Wish me luck! I am just like you, NEVER won more than $100 on a single scratcher so I am long overdue for a big hit.

I played a roll today of $20 Gold Rush and my winners were on tickets 000, 003, 007, 011, 014, 017, 022, 024, 025, 027

Yeah, I've won more than once on some of those numbers, but 000 should always be a winner, SHOULD be, mine lost for some reason yesterday.
It's the Doublers that I think are a huge rip off. 025 can be either really good or really bad, I grab it every time I see it. Buying them out the machines at Publix has paid off a little better than over the counter, not sure why. Could just be me, lol.
I really wish I had my phone with me the day I was winning multiple 100s on those Ten Mill Fortune tickets. It was almost surreal, which is why I am hopefully headed back tomorrow to finish the roll. I want that elusive moneybag or star symbol!

Another win on the $600M Gold Rush. Again on 00 with the same 5X multiplier. This is the strangest (and luckiest) coincidence I've encountered playing scratch-offs for the past 5 years. I have won more $500 prizes in the last 2 weeks on the Gold Rush games than the previous 5 years combined. In fairness, I never won a $500 prize on the Gold Rush games until last year and SM and $2M JP have taken big bites out of the wins. And, nice wins Risky.
Great hit, you are certainly killing it lately! I still haven't had a 500 dollar hit in months now. Tampa seems to get nothing but duds or break evens. Also 000, 13, 41 seem to be my lucky numbers on rolls.

No biggie. I ended up staying on my side of town and going to Walmart. Bought the last Gold Rush Doubler ticket on Roll 396K-something. It was a winner with the infamous fake multiplier 10X $2 garbage. Seriously, is $2 the only prize listed in the rules for the 10X symbol? What other amounts can it be?

I didn't visit any other stores in the Ocala area. I'm taking a break from scratchoffs again. I need to start cutting back, I went a little crazy recently since I got a nice raise from work. I cleared through a 734k roll in Gville earlier that was decent, $445/$600. For anyone continuing to buy 2Mj/SM, I wish you all the best of luck.
The 10X $2 is just as bad as 2MJ's 10X $1 prize. Both absolutely disgusting. There was one time where I bought a Gold Rush Doubler from a vending machine at one of the publix stores here in Gainesville, and it had 10X with $100 underneath. I didn't expect that, especially since I didn't even win a $500 at that point on the game. The odds are 1 in 5000 of hitting $1k on Gold Rush Doubler though, so those are a bit rarer than on most games.
@ Ronnie - Sorry to hear about the bad luck streak. Maybe it is time to put the chase to a rest, and check back on the status of these games in 1-2 months?

Exactly what I'm thinking of doing..I just can't keep rationalizing spending money and getting 33% of my money back without hitting $500 more frequently or something substantial enough to hedge the losses. I'm surprised you found the 100k winner! That seems impossible to me right now lol. After going through probably 25 - 30 50x books and not hitting a $500 or better I'm truly thinking of giving up..
