I had a 1k back in October so it may be a while. Funny story... The day before I got my 500$ the clerk told me a guy won 500$ 3 times, but he spent about 700$. So I played the roll that he kept losing from. I've won 1000$ twice at this particular store. It's a strange location between a fire station and a low income apartment complex so I think it gets padded with winners every few months

You guys and your theories about FL Lottery knowing which tickets are winners (which they don't), and then even further still placing winning tickets in certain markets/stores/areas.. Do any of you seriously believe this or do you just kind of jokingly throw the possibility out there? As far as I have heard, all Lotteries in all states follow the same security/fraud prevention basic protocol of:
Ticket manufacturer knows which ticket numbers are winners, but do not know which stores any given ticket number is distributed to.
Lottery office knows which ticket numbers are distributed to which stores (eg they know where all unsold tickets are at a given time (or should)), but they do not know if any particular ticket number is a winner (until checked/cashed))

Spare me with your condescending BS. Most of us have played long enough to recognize patterns. Stores in very rural or sometimes more "depressed" areas seemingly sell tickets in higher volume. The stores in my neighbourhood take over 2 weeks to finish a roll of most games, in some areas you're lucky if a roll lasts more than a day or two. So no, I dont believe it's some FL Lotto conspiracy, It's math. More tickets sold, better probability of finding a winner. Congrats on thinking you know something the rest of us don't, you must feel incredibly valued, gold star for you, champ!

Yes you are stating the obvious here. I reacted to your use of the word "padding." To me that suggests that you are implying that the FL Lottery is placing winning tickets in certain areas. So I'm pointing out that this would be against basic security fraud prevention protocols that all lotteries enforce, and actually not even possible (given these policies are stringently followed and collusion is kept in check; obviously there could be corruption but I don't think we can assume there is any going on). You misinterpreted what I said, and also your reply was not relevant in any way to the point I was making. If I misinterpreted your original statement that I had quoted, then I apologize.
So speaking of patterns, what I do see on this board is very frequent statements inferring that winning tickets are placed intentionally by the lottery in poor, rural and depressed areas. Also, if you were not inferring this, then your choice of the word "padding" was strange indeed. I agree that of course it does follow that a store that sells a high volume of tickets will have a higher than normal number on winners (compared to an average selling store), but this is not the lottery "padding" a store or area. This is a store selling all their tickets and then ordering more.
Also, it appears that you have the condescension/sarcasm thing well covered.

My use for the word padded is in reference to the patterns I notice. Regardless of who knows which tickets go where, there's a pattern of winning 500$/1000$ every few months and they tend to come in groups. This is only based on my own experience. I keep a very small budget, and other than taking breaks from time to time, I seldom change the volume of tickets I buy. As for my condescension, I was merely dishing what I was served. I'm not fond of anyone trying to "educate" myself or anyone else on a subject we are all familiar with. We all come here to discuss our gains, losses and everything in between. We don't come here for someone to talk down to us. You led your reply with "you people and your theories," it was highly disrespectful. So now that you know better, I implore you to do better.

Ok that's fair. "You guys and your theories" was a poor choice of words to lead with, and I can see how the overall tone could come off as hostile, but that wasn't my intent. I think I just overreacted to reading a lot inferences being thrown out there on this thread about lottery funny business, without a great deal of substantiation. Definitely not trying to start a flame war here, and didn't intend to call you out necessarily.

Been having mostly below average luck recently. I am focusing my energy on the Raffle game given I've probably spent about $500 on Super Millions and only have this ticket to show for it. Also, my best win (based on the 1:1,500 odds) was a $1 holiday ticket I received as a stocking stuffer.

Nice to see your two tickets, Gatorsrok. So your dollar winner was from being nice this year? good for you...and for Santa
So, the year is almost over. Was it good for you, ticket wise? I am sure I lost money this year, but I had some moments...out of $107.00 in certain tickets, I won $3,180 since mid April. Those are the ones I posted with my cheap Jazz camera. I'm sure I will be keeping accurate track come the first of the year...I did this year but lost interest in Early Feb.
I do wish all of us well. Maybe one of us will get that white whale in 2016. Heck, I'd be happy with a pup! At my point in life, even 50K would be life changing! Stay healthy, and don't forget to celebrate the little things in life. See ya next year...

Playing in the mandarin area of jax is an absolute waste of time, the places that do hang tickets have no $20 ticket winners hanging to speak of, the 20 goldrush payout here is out of 5 tickets bought you typically win 2x$10, thats the typical payout in this area, not 100, 200, 500 nothing just the bottom of the barrel tickets. Thats from multiple stores also,
