This is exactly my line of thinking. Pick numbers from your "gang" and stick with them...period.
Incidently...I looked up 1-19 gang and found that 121 Jackpots have been won in Take 5 with those from the beginning of the drawings, (748) 4 Spot winners and (1731) 3 Spotters compared to your gang of 23 which has had 324 Jackpots (1334) 4 spots and (2019) 3 spots. Who da man???
ALLRIGHT LL!!!!
324 JP's were won by using the gang of 23. That's 0.0005627% (which aint very much!) But now we know. I wasnt expecting a very high number, but the proof of how good it is would be in comparing it to other sets of numbers.
BTW, did you use LP to get that info? It's impressive to know that LP has the capability to do that. You're a Premium member and I'm a Standard member, so if you did use LP to get that info, then I now can see the huge difference between the two.
Also, I have been thinking of adapting the gang of 23 to Sweet Million. It would become a gang of 24 for SM because I'd add 40 to the set. I'm also thinking of using in SM the technique of using the 11 numbers that follow a zero comming out.

Here's your stats for SM adding 40 to the gang.....12 Jackpots (47) 5 spots, (82) 4 spots a and (77) 3 Spots.

'Gang of 23'. Hey wasn't the MM ball 23? Just sayin'. Ha..ha. GiveFive don't get caught up in all that stat stuff. Go with some of it but use your intuition. Anyway, I'm going to bed. My wife is calling me. Ya'll have a good night.

Yes, I won a Free Play. I played just two lines, and on one of them I had the 33 & 37. (On that same line, I had the 6 and 9)
As for the question I posed, I'm curious to know what percentage of the previous 5,475 drawings had all five winning numbers from the gang of 23. I think that information could provide some insight as to how "powerful" the gang's potential might be. Although I've never seen or used it, I suspect GH's software doesnt have the specific functionality needed to provide an answer to my question. I would think it would take someone with some programming skills, and a "database" of all 5,475 Take5 drawings to cull all of the lines with 5 gang of 23 numbers out of the database. Hopefully, I'm wrong about GH's software!
Before I buy my tickets, I sometimes check the lines I'm going to play on the US Lotteries website to see if they ever won a JP. (It's only happened twice, but on two different occasions, I have picked a set of five numbers that previously won a JP. I didnt play either of those lines when it happened because I believe the likelihood of those particular sets of five numbers winning a JP a second time any time soon is very remote.) This is another good reason for NOT buying QP's. The NYL's server could very easily pick five numbers that have won a Take5 JP before.
I'm aware of the fact that no set of five winning numbers has ever won a Take5 jackpot a second time. I sent an e-mail to The NY Lottery and asked if it had ever happened. Their reply was that it had not. (At the time, I suspected that it hadn't happened, simply because there are 575,757 possible combinations of five numbers, and less than 5,000 drawings had been held. I doubt that it has happened since I sent that email.)
GiveFive,
Regarding the question you posed about the gang of 23 having the winning numbers, (even though LottoLaughs already answered it) I got the same stats using the GH software in that all 5#s were in the pool 324 times, 4#s - 1,335 times and 3#s - 2,019 times. So it is well capable of delivering the necessary information. For all the issues that a lot of people seem to have regarding this particular software or any of the others out there, all I can talk about is this one because that is what I use exclusively now. I've used others and so far I've gotten the best results with it. Can you do the same thing with visual basic advanced programming skills and Excel, I'm sure you could with lots of time and patience, but for the $39 (I think) or so I spent back in 2001 it was WELL worth the money. Any tool you choose to use is only as good as what you put into as well, whether its a sharp knife, a dull chain saw, etc. If you'd ask me I would tell you that if anything GH's Advantage Plus gives too much information, which is what makes winning the elusive JP so difficult. All the stats, showing trends, and skips due and last digits due ... I could go on and on, means absolutely nothing if the person reading all of it can't decide which numbers to use! Because ultimately it still comes down to the user making a decision! This would be where Jackpotismine's gut comes in ... as well as your own.
So after all of that what would I recommend? I would go to GH's site and compare the cost of the software (again, I say this one only because it is what I use) versus the cost of a platinum membership here and see which one would suit your needs better. Either way you get the use of additional resources that you wouldn't ordinarily have and hopefully can win enough money so that it would have paid for itself. Good luck whatever you decide.

Thanks Fiesty! GH's Advantage Plus must be a better piece of software than I gave it credit for being!
I think you couldn't be more correct regarding player intuition. I'm using a little bit of that for tonites Take5. I bought a ticket for tonite, and on each line I played 3 numbers from the gang of 23, but went very lightly on any numbers from the 30's due to last night's 4 numbers from the 30's being drawn. On two of my lines, I decided to go with 35, which isnt in the gang. I chose 35 because it was last seen 12 drawings ago, and has been out 4 times in the last 39 drawings. Maybe it's not a good number to play, but I went with my gut on it.
Thanks again for your input. It was definitely the most informative I've received from anyone regarding any lottery software.

I couldn't have said it better my self Feisty1. I thought you were a guy? An old guy. I was picturing one of those old man with a cane telling the kids 'get outta my way you little buggers'. Ha..ha.
@Givefive
As I said before, don't get caught with too much information. It clouds the mind. The best songs that people remember are the most simple ones. Example: Ain't no Sunshine when she's gone. I also have the Gail Howard Take 5 Dos program and that is what I use to wheel. Bought it back in 2002. Anyway, you came to the right place. Good Luck! By the way, I know that tonight's draw will probably contain more non 'gang of 23' numbers but I am totally ingnoring that and sticking with my goal of just the 23 even if it means not getting any numbers. Good Luck! Keep up the fight for that elusive Jackpot.

You gave me a good laugh ... made my day! My ex-husband used to tell me that I was "too fresh & feisty" everyday ... so it stuck! I even had vanity license plates when I lived in NY "2Feisty" ... it was sweet, got lots of attention too.

Oh, I see. Ha..ha. I picture you like Ron Paul's age but more fiesty and less nicer. Ha..ha. (B.T.W. I like Ron Paul, he's just funny looking sometimes. His expressions.)

Analysis:
Last night's (4-2) numbers were: 11-17-20-31-38
Again all double digits Numbers and no single digits: 3,6,9. This is good news. Why? It means that one or two of the single digits has to show tomorrow(given the law of averages)! Another good news is that only one of the 'gang of 23' showed. Whenever only 1 or 2 show for 1 to 3 days consective, chances are that we will see 3 to 5 from the 'gang of 23'. So this the the first day with only one 'gang of 23'. Numbers 20 repeated and showed with no3,6,9,10,13,16,23,26,30,33. Another good thing is that since a 'zero' digit showed we will see at least 1 to 2 from this group. That's why I think that 3 & 6 has an excellent chance especially for tomorrow.the 'teens' have been quite scarce too so I would include at least 2 teens.Fiesty1 I'm liking your 19. Perhaps 18 & 19 will get married tomorrow?Ha.ha.Remember, don't get discourage. You can't win everyday.Good luck to those who play!
