I don't know what the trick is in PA but I do know that for the past few months it's exactly what omiller
described. The wins on just $5's used to be so much better. It wasn't impossible to do well on $5
tickets...$20's, $50's and $100's were almost common...now that common has been replaced with
$0's and $5's.
20x the Money tickets give $5 wins all the time...it's hard to find anything better than that. $5 Big Money
tickets are no better. And these are the ones that were supposed to have been restocked with winners
because of their popularity. I've seen many people happy with a free ticket or a dollar or a $5 win on a
$5 ticket. If you look at in terms of strictly 'live to play another day/game' then ok, I guess that's alright.
But what about the claims of xx top prizes, win up to 12 times and xxxx prizes of xxxx or the claim of:
over $xxx million in prizes!! ???? Isn't anyone looking for those? I am and have to be honest and say,
while it's good to win $100 and better to win $500, I'm wondering where those BIGGER prizes are. I've
been playing for years also and the most I've won on one ticket is $5,000 on the instant games.
There were tons of $100's, $200's and enough $400's, $500's and $1,000's so I can't complain but I'd
like to find a real good one more often.
Take the poster skeptic for example....btw, don't know where he went but anyway...there were so many
tickets posted of wins of $500 and $1,000 it was incredible. Now is that area or volume? I don't know.
Like James said...something to the effect of: winning good ones are nice but where are the big ones?
That's why we all play, to win. And the more you can win the better time you have doing it. I don't think
there will be a day I ever quit, it's fun for me. I guess what seriously has to be weighed is whether you're
having fun doing it or if it's just time to quit for good. If you're just feeding money into the pot and not
winning and don't feel good about playing maybe another game - a lesser ticket amount - would justify
playing. If you play $20 and constantly lose, maybe $2's are better. Maybe daily number games are
better...for $20 you get a lot more chances of winning something than with 1 $20 ticket.
You have to make the decision to be in or out and consider if totally quitting is the best option. Maybe
your area will never be good...who knows? Maybe your luck will never change or maybe it will take the
next 10 years for it to happen. I think if you don't have a good reason to play...(and just playing for a
top prize isn't good enough reason...it really ISN'T) then your chances might be better somewhere else.
Like Megamillions or Daily's or Pick 4's or Casino's or Bingo.
