I had posted my opinion on another post about this guy. I had made the statement that a crime against a child was the worst I could think of. Now at the time, I haden't seen anything stating the age of his victim, so I guess you could think of it in a few different ways..adult victim/child victim. Another LP member reminded me that. That we didn't know "who". I just decided to google again today, and a news website (1 hour ago) stated that the crime was in 1999, and the victim............13. I guess we all have our opinions on this guys win. You want to both hope he does better, and................well...........hope he falls fast and hard.
You can run, but you can't hide mighty Jackpot...surrender to me at once!

This is another good reason for lottery winners to form a trust and claim a lottery jackpot in secrecy. Folks who never or will ever know or meet this person will be wasting their time hating him. Some may even blame him for their lack of faith or their house going into foreclosure. I guess if they can't win a lottery, they can get some enjoyment out of hating some one that has.

I'm not a fan of child molesters,or any sex criminal for that matter. However,he did serve the time that the state of Michigan sentenced him to.He also served his parole and is a free man.I don't begrudge him his good luck for winning the lottery.I only hope that after he molests another child, and I'm pretty sure he'll do it again, the state does what they should have done the last time,LOCK HIM UP FOREVER!He's a three time loser and most states have an habitual criminal law that puts repeat offenders behind bars for at least 25 years, some states even give habitual criminals life without parole.

Yeah, it seems Todd is really busy so this hasn't been put up yet. Isent it to him yesterday afternoon... Anyway, yeah we didn't know how old the victim was but now that it's come out (as I expected it would) there are no good feelings toward the guy, there's nothing that can excuse that. He's spent 15 of the last 20 years in prison from three different crimes (he was sentenced at the same time for two of them that were committed two years apart), all three were probably reduced to lesser charges due to his taking a plea deal in each case. If he were smart he wouldn't have gone to the the lottery office the next day to claim it and tried to claim it without his name getting out, or even gave his ticket to either his wife or children to claim for him.
I'd say "fine" to his doing his time for the two "Breaking & Entering a Building With Intent" cases but "Assault With Intent to Commit Sexual Penetration" (sounds like a plea down from attempted rape to me) is inexcusable, especially a 13 year old girl. Fall hard indeed, hopefully without taking his wife and kids with him. This seems to be a perfect time for his wife to end up dumping him and getting at least half of the winnings and the victim coming about and filing a civil suit for the other half, if that's still possible. Granted we don't know what kind of people his wife (if she's the mother to the kids and they've been married all this time) and kids are but they seem to have been victims too of this guys two 24 years of stupidity and I doubt that'll change now that he has millions of dollars, hopefully they at least will be able to live better lives.
