Arkansas Lottery to debut new Lotto draw game
First new in-state draw game since 2012 By Kate Northrop Yesterday the Arkansas Lottery officially announced the introduction of its newest draw game, Lotto. Next week, lottery players in Arkansas will have a new in-state game to try out, one that features a starting jackpot of $250,000. It's the first addition of a new game since the Lottery brought Lucky for Life into the fold in January 2015. Before that, the Natural State Jackpot launched in August 2012. We are extremely

Florida Fantasy-5 Players
The word on the street around where I live is Cash Pop is a joke... I've never played it but it seems most players I've talked to are unimpressed. That does not mean you shouldn't play it. But then I saw players in New York turn their noses up at an online game that had very low odds to win a million dollars and wasn't parimutuel. They reason they didn't like the game was because the lower tier prizes stunk. Was around only for a year or so and due to low ticket sales The NY Lottery pulled i

Florida lottery jackpot games
You can add Jackpot Triple Play to your list. The max jackpot is 2 million for that game. In the past, when it got to 2 million somebody hit it soon thereafter. But not with the most recent 2 million dollar jackpot. It kept rolling over from Early June to late August. That's due to low coverage which translates into low ticket sales. There aren't sufficient enough six number combo's sold that will produce a jackpot winner. The Florida Lottery must have at least half of all possible combo's s

Florida: 8/1 - 8/31/2022
Went to the lottery office today and one of the workers told me that the way we would get paid for a win is changing soon. No longer will be able to get cash at Publix, etc. they will give a debit card instead! I was like what?? I want cash, asked several questions like how do I deposit a debit card in my checking account? What about when I hit the play 4 for 50 grand? 50 grand worth of debit cards? She said they are working out the details but figured I would pass it along. Don't like the idea

Do lottery employees read our posts?
The lotteries make money off ticket sales. The odds of ANY particular game are such that it just doesn't matter if they are lurking. Especially jackpot games. Our resident LO hater is so afraid that they will find out his probability math number will cost him a jackpot when he forgets that MM is a game that has literally hundreds of millions of combinations. Go figure.

$630 MILLION: Mega Millions jackpot soars after no winner Tuesday
Weirdly, the cash value was just upped to $388 million (11th-largest US cash value in history), but the annuity did not change ( $660 million ). So, more ticket sales are happening than expected, but I suppose interest rates (used to calculate the annuity) went down a bit. For more information about how jackpots are calculated, see this video: https://www.lotterypost.com/news/340649

State-by-State Comparison: Scratchers Sales vs PB/MM Sales
I sell a lot of scratchers in my little c-store, but with MM being as high as it is, I'm selling a lot of online tix too. I always knew scratchers outsell online tix. I think it's the instant gratification (hope?) that drives the high sales, instead of waiting for a drawing. Nice work Joe!

Store owners hope for a quick resolution, but skill game critics say leave it alone By Kate Northrop Virginia Lottery retailers who participated in a boycott of lottery ticket sales over the weekend have begun selling tickets again, saying they are seeing progress being made in negotiations regarding the recent skill game ban. Virginia Lottery retailers have paused their protest and have resumed selling lottery tickets again after hearing hopeful news from the Virginia Governor that
