Traditional lotto games an endangered species?
Last year California replaced its regular lotto with a Powerball/Big Game style format. Lotto Georgia and Lotto Kentucky are being dumped, with Lotto Virginia serving all three states beginning next month. Colorado is expected to alter or eliminate its Lotto now that it's a Powerball state. The struggling new Michigan Millions may morph into still another multi-state game. Are single-state six-number jackpot lotto games on their way to extinction?

New MI chief could mean new multi-state game
Any proposed multi-state game (which would replace the 6/51 Michigan Millions ) should not only include Illinois, but also a third Great Lakes state, Pennsylvania. To encourage the Keystone State to join in, allow PA to expand Super-6 Lotto west, with at least one modification: allow players to select ALL the numbers (the current game requires the computer to select two of the three plays per dollar.)

more info on Lotto South
Diane: Maybe eventually. However, SC will only allow in-state games initially. There must be legislative approval to join a multi-state game. I would have to think SC would offer Big Game or Powerball assuming they get the chance.

more info on Lotto South
Todd: Lotto South may eventually be sold in more than three states. Even Florida has expressed interest, although it would seem an awkward fit since Florida Lotto is 6/53. This appears to be the first lottery trend of the 21st century-Powerball and Big Game lotteries chucking their in-state jackpot games while forming multi-state game(s) that, in at least one instance, involves both rival alliances.

Why do people here congratulate potblockers?
One way for there to be no winners would be if no one plays. I think that would be great if people not play the stupid games of PB and MM. If you want to play the lottery, buy a scratch-off ticket, pick3/pick4, or your own state's draw games. The multi-state games have gotten completely out of hand and terribly greedy with their absurdly low chances of winning. When there are long lines of people buying tickets because the jackpot is so large, the game is broken so to speak.
A normal gambling

Slng-Ii Free Software Download
Any Lottery games such as Powerball, Mega Millions, etc that are played in multiple states will have the letters MS (Multi-State).
If you have a game that is not listed post your request here and if the game meets the requirements for SLNG-II I can create the data text file.
I'm in the process of creating both an Excel and OpenOffice Calc program for those proficient in using these 2 programs.
I'll post the files sometime this week along with a video on how to use the files.

Lotto America multi-state lottery game tickets on sale Sunday
Lotto*America was the first lottery game offered by the Multi-State Lottery Association (MUSL). It was replaced in 1992 by Powerball, which, along with Mega Millions, are MUSL's flagship games.
In 1987, six states and the District of Columbia banded together, since, on their own, they could not create jackpots into the tens of millions of dollars that had become commonplace in the most populous lottery states. MUSL's first game was called Lotto*America even though only those seven jurisdictio

Spurred on by a surge of lottery ticket sales, the Multi-State Lottery Association (MUSL) has raised the official estimate for Wednesday's Powerball drawing to $700 million.
With a new lump-sum cash estimate of $443.3 million, a single-ticket winner of the drawing would receive nearly a half-billion dollars in cash.
