how to handle this?
What they might tell you is that you are responsible for making sure what you ordered, is what you got. Check your tickets they say. Clerks are able to cancel out daily's and pick 4's, either they were lazy...didn't know how to or just didn't want to be bothered. If this is something they are telling everyone, that is wrong. Why should you have to pay for a clerks error? Most of them do things correctly but then you have the ones that are too busy to bother with more than what's on thei

New Jersey: 5/1 - 5/31/2011
Lady Luck comes through again! This evening's 317 (had it st/bx 1x) was one of my machine QPs ! It doesn't hurt to sprinkle in a few QPs for the heck of it, and darn if it's been hitting nicely lately, mostly on 1x or 2x boxes. I also live near the NY border and have hit there three times on 2x boxed bets in the past week! But long live NJ's pari-mutual system! I KNOW this is NJ forum, and a pick 3 forum at that, so I'll keep my NY business to myself. But on a same state basis, I have

the Kindness of clerks
Enjoy the Kindness of clerks while you can . Here in the East .... There are big chain gas stations in which I had most bad experiences it happened at QTs and Race tracs. I always put a big smile when I walk in to this public places first because you want to be treated the same way right? and second because you want to look good in the cameras right? but noooo...... At Quick trips gas stations most of the times the clerks get confuse when I handed them the playlips they either charge

Are Auto Picks for Mega Millions and Power Balls Generated at The Retailer's Terminal?
I posted the below listed questions to the Mega Millions and Powerbal States. All the states that have responded to me so far have the same answers with the exception of Michigan. My original questions are in black and Michigan Lottery Bureau's response are in red. Thier responses except for No. 7 are exactly opposite to the answers I received from all the other games states. Could any one comment on the accuracy of Michigan's response. I was expecting some consistency with what goes on in Michi

New - Curious... and there has got to be a better way...
Hi - I am new so please forgive if I am not up to speed on the general topics. I have been playing the lottery for a while now on and off probably like everyone else. Since this last mega lotto game (multi-state) my sisters and mom pooled together and bought 150 tickets. You would think we would at least win 'something' well $5 after the whole group of tickets was analized was the result. I have done better by myself and 1 ticket. My feeling became that you are either meant to win or not mea

5/39 on EVEN/ODDs and Patterns
garyo1954, After a quick perusal of your post above, I was ready to post a full I Agree to the whole thing. Then I read more slowly and found, An inordinate amount of Evens or Odds, or Highs or Lows in a certain position has to mean a coming change. Now why did you have to go and say that? With the exception of that sentence, most mathematics professors would agree with your entire post! I found this post while scanning for another one that might be in this thread where I think someone re

Lucky and unlucky Scratch-off ticket numbers
Thank you, that one was more thrilling just because it had 2 symbols...I'd like to get the ultimate surprise and scratch a winner of $1MILL! I saw the new tickets yesterday! Hmmm, I'm not too impressed right now. I bought 5 of the $2 tickets and had a $2 and 2 of the $5 tickets and got nothing and one of the $10 ones and zilch...went and bought another $10 and nothing.....wow, if these aren't the teasers I was talking about, then I'm passing judgement on them too soon. I'll try some mor

Three number matches
OK, this is on the Canadian Lotto 6/49 because there's a lot of historical data, it goes back to 1982 and for the time being I'm in Canada rather than Texas. The minimum that you have to match in the 6/49 is three numbers so I took all 2,734 draws and parsed them into the three number combinations from each draw then I have a script running through all 13.98 million combinations scoring them on how many three number matches they would've had, if the combination was one that matched all six n

Statistically Speaking - QP's and PP's
which means it's completely random , no matter HOW you pick your numbers. I have to disagree with you on that one. Surely, no matter what method one chooses, at the end it's still a random event during a draw, but the selection process allows the individual to have a tad better edge over QPs. I'm not saying this because I'm smarter than you, but because of past experience in trends and patterns. Let's take the P-3 as an easy example. Last night's Florida evening winning number was 139. 139
