buying lottery tickets
I've seen clerks try to insert slips 5 or 6 times and then watch another clerk clear the machine and the tickets are printed the first time. If the problem is that the right button needed to be pushed it doesn't matter who inserts the slip. OTOH, when the clerk does the same thing each time the slip is inserted, either the button(s) they're pushing only works the last time, or there is some other transient problem with the machine. if the machine is ready to accept a pick-3 bet because

Employee lottery pool wins on first ticket
Talk about instant gratification the first time the 23 people on the night shift at the Sherwin-Williams plant in Andover, Kansas, decided to pool money and buy Powerball tickets, the first ticket they bought proved to be a winner. A $200,000 winner, which means it matched the first five numbers drawn Jan. 5 but not the Powerball. It was a shocker, said Paula Norton of El Dorado, who goes by Joan and was the designated ticket-buyer for the group. We're all a bunch of happy people. Eve

Some lottery winners missing their jackpots
True story: Elderly man reads the newspaper every morning in the bathroom. He dies. Widow picks up the old papers, finds a Powerball ticket. Her kids insist: Mom, check it out. She does just in time! Widow claims a $100,000 prize the day before the ticket expires. That story from Karen Emery, deputy director of the Arizona Lottery is a rare happy ending in the history of long-lost lottery tickets. More than a half-billion dollars in lottery prizes went uncollected last y

Illinois Daily Dec. 1 thru Dec.31,2007
Congrat's pcnut on your hit. Very nice On Dec. 3 Illinois lottery is going to have the green ball drawing again. I think most people know what that is. And for the ones that dont know. After the pick 3 drawing there is another machine with 1 green ball and a few white balls. If a green ball is drawn. There will be another pick 3 drawing. You can win only if you purchased the winning ticket at the store. It dont count if you played it on line. I think the green ball d

pick 3 lottery card
Coin Toss, I don't keep my pencil in the plastic sleeve. I complete the form in black ink at home before I leave. Don't want to be a counter hogger. A laminated playslip or a laminated ticket? Something that is laminated is only good if it's used for a long time. Anyway, the playslip would never fit into the terminal! There are plastic sleeves given to all the retailers for distribution to players so they can keep their slips protected from getting wet or bent. It's also good advertisi

Tenn. Lottery players complaining over switch from numbered balls
i totally agree something is definitely wrong. i used your quick pick generator and asked it just to pick 1 ticket then another and another just to see how many times i might get a double and they were back to back and about every other out of 10 tries i got 5 doubles. here's what might be happening in Tennessee they say they have tested the RNG software program and it is working fine. Without actually knowing what hey have done. They might have asked it to run a group of numbers or they m

$5 Powerball Quick Pick Oddity
I love your post. I have tried to discuss this point before but no one gets what I was saying about odds. I have made posts not too long ago saying that duplicate numbers like yours are lucky. I based a system of picks on these duplicate. My theory is that if you are buying a handful of lines, you odds of matching the right numbers is greater than say buying one ticket IE 10 > 1. There are 5 white balls in one line (1 of 10). To win using these white balls, you have to match >2 nu

Small community anxiously waits for $1M lottery winner to claim prize
It is very likely that a Madison County, Illinois, resident is $1 million richer after purchasing a winning lottery ticket at Casey's General in Glen Carbon. However, the winner has yet to come forward to claim the massive prize. We're really disappointed, said Store Manager Shirley Sutter about the unknown winner having yet to seek the award. We're anxious to see who it is. Sutter explained that the Illinois Lottery held a summer promotion called Million Dollar Summer Raffle in which

Penn. Lottery contributions decline for first time in 6 years
Lottery Not Blaming Slots for Flat Sales Pennsylvania's lottery sales stumbled in the just-ended fiscal year as slot machines came on line finishing flat after a half-decade of huge gains spurred by bigger games, more retailers and glitzier advertising. After subtracting expenses, commissions and prize money, the lottery contributed less money to state coffers than the prior year for the first time since 2001. State lottery officials insisted the arrival of slot-machine gambling in

Disabled man wins $37M lottery jackpot
He's 55 years old, single, with no children, lives in a rooming house, and has been on disability since October. Oh, and Graham Gelineau is also $37 million richer after winning Saturday's whopping Lotto 6/49 jackpot the largest single-ticket prize to be claimed in Ontario. The Toronto man doesn't drive, so he took the subway to the Ontario Lottery and Gaming Corp.'s downtown office Monday afternoon to pick up his winnings. Apart from the money, my life's going to stay pretty much the
