'Miracle' lottery win to let man visit gravely ill nephew, 7
Conrad Selle's sister in France called Sunday with bad news: If he wants to see his 7-year-old nephew, who is losing a hard-fought battle with leukemia, he should come now. It was weighing on my heart, said the computer systems analyst who still is recovering from being out of work until March. I had no way to pay for it. Then, that night, he won $10,000 in the lottery. Thanks to what he said must be a providential thing, Selle and his son, Lucas, 15, will leave Monday for Paris. Beyo

CA Lottery - California Love - CA Lottery Scratchers
Hey, thanks for all your helpful posts... I discovered that whether in the vending machines or a clerk issued ticket, you have to find a place that does not watch the tickets for winners. I went to a market where the machine had a sign on it as out of order and the managee opened it up for me and inside where single tickets stored on the shelf. I asked to buy those and he said no. Suspicious at best. Then a place where I got a string of losing tickets, I asked the clerk if he plays and

I got another sequential hit on Win It All, off to a good start with this game: 0, 0, $10, $20 - the $20 was a Win-All number match, but only teeny $1s with a couple $2s. Actually the wins were on lower numbered tickets, but the machine was loaded backwards so I still count this as ticket 3 and 4. And from crossword play: Mega xword - tkt 5X xword - 0 Tripl xword - 0 Tripl xword (orange) - $5 And couple of Cool Cash - 0, $5 Getting great hit percentage this month so far,

CA Lottery - California Love - CA Lottery Scratchers
Finally I found a useful site for CA scratchers ... I read through all the posts ... Some very interesting stuff ... I hope to be able to share some info too ... 1. I love the info about the roll # ... just because the stats show that the top prize is due we shouldn't blindly buy that because its likely not in the new rolls but sitting somewhere where the scratchers turnover is low (Jon D credits) 2. On the fun, money throwing side, I found that some people here are doing a m

Playing every ticket from a machine.
Whoa Jim...relax! Nobody's upset here, except maybe you? I was just politely telling you that you didn't do the vending machine challenge properly, which is the subject of this particular thread. You are more than welcome to post your scratch results. In fact, there is the longest running thread on this entire site just for that purpose called Post your scratch ticket results And I've never seen ANYBODY on the site comment disparagingly about someone's posted small wins. A win is a win! Bu

Germany Lottery draw glitch caused announcement of wrong numbers
German broadcaster ZDF gave Lotto ticket holders a moment of false hope on Wednesday evening, after a glitch with the ball machine meant presenters read out the wrong numbers. At 6:50pm, 2.33 million people turned on their TVs to see if they'd won this week's lottery jackpot. But what presenters in the ZDF studio had not noticed was that that two balls, 46 and 47, failed to roll into the see-through Lotto drum. This meant that the first set of numbers 3,8,11,26,32,40 and 9 were void. The a

Dr.Miracle's P-3 System. Q&A
Maryland Pick 3 archive question. Does any member here from Maryland know why or can research with there local lottery ticket seller why there was no Saturday, April 25 1998 drawing?? Also check both these days Friday August 13 and Saturday August 14 1999. No Midday Draws for both days. I have a complete Pick 3 draw history for Maryland Midday and Evening draws. I noticed in the Lotterypost database that many draws are duplicated having the January 29 date. Not sure if this is i

$338M N.J. Powerball winner says he'll help family
The winner of a $338.3 million Powerball jackpot told several media outlets Monday that his first priority will be helping his family. Pedro Quezada, 44, entered Eagle Liquors store, where the ticket was sold, late Monday afternoon. The Passaic store owner ran Quezada's ticket through the lottery machine to validate that it was a winner as a newspaper and television outlets recorded the moment. The New Jersey Lottery confirmed that the winning ticket was validated at the store at 4:30 p.m.

Clerks Are Not Always Knowledgable About Lottery
Just let me behind the counter so I can run my own dang numbers. I know what I want and how I want them. I don't like giving lessons on what superstraight is or how to make a $5 ticket straight. If you can't count - think - perform then stay away from the machine. If I go once to a place where they do not know what they're doing I do not go back. Time is money - get them done right and get them done quick...I don' t have time for a. 50 boxed mistake when I wanted $5
