Kalamazoo mart customer holds $36M lottery ticket
great phrase...........The machine didn't process....... Looks like some of these stores need to get on the ball.......if the machine didn't work then the clerks would have to take the tickets and process them and who knows where those unprocessed tickets would end up...... I can see the machine getting unplugged and the clerk saying here give me the ticket..(pretends to scan ticket)............well it's not a winner ..........(clerk keeps the ticket to cash later someplace else !!!!!!!)..

Strange one today...
Quite simply. NO IT would not pass the valid ticket authorization test in my state. Would need the store machine number, ticket# and various other information to be claimed as legitimate. I had a ticket one time from the automated machines (BIG MISTAKE!!) That cut off the tickets half way...didnt have the bar and was missing half the numbers from the five$ QP. I was livid! The machine had a nice sign that said Not responsible for malfunctions of machine.

Man let lottery winner go first
Like I had mentioned earlier, that's not necessarily true. It is only true IF the RNG is programmed to use a different seed value every time a new ticket is generated. Perhaps it's only programmed to use a different seed once every 5 minutes. Or perhaps it doesn't use the internal clock as its seed.Or there are a million other maybe s that could affect this story. The only one who knows for sure is the manufacturer of the machine.A RNG does not work like a slot machine. What works like a slot

New York Lottery won't pay $25,000 for taped-up scratch-off ticket
Woman plans to file lawsuit against the lottery By the time lottery officials told Patricia Manzitto that her winning ticket was a fake, she already had spent nearly half the $25,000 she thought she'd won. But when Manzitto went to collect her winnings four days later, officials at the New York Lottery's Garden City center told her that it looked as if her ticket had been forged by taping two halves of different tickets together. Lottery officials refused to pay up. Manzitto, 64, of Ea

Gaming the lottery was this couple's retirement plan
Gerald Selbee broke the code of the American breakfast cereal industry because he was bored at work one day, because it was a fun mental challenge, because most things at his job were not fun and because he could because he happened to be the kind of person who saw puzzles all around him, puzzles that other people don't realize are puzzles: the little ciphers and patterns that float through the world and stick to the surfaces of everyday things. This was back in 1966, when Jerry, as he is kno

Georgia gas station employee accused of stealing over $127,000 of lottery tickets in scanning scam
My all time favorite time of paying out scratch tickets was about 25 years ago in WA before they had phone apps or self check thing in the business. A lady bought a $2.00 bingo scratch ticket. Scratched it in the store goes I made my money back at least. Hands me the ticket and goes I wanna cash this in before my husband walks in a yells at me for buying tickets again. Scan the ticket on the lottery machine turned around and go I can't pay this out. With a completely straight face. She looked at

Take5 NY
After what just happened to me tonite, I've seen and done it all with regard to playing the lottery. I went into a gas station to buy five lines of Take5. I handed the guy my betslip and a five dollar bill. He ran the betslip thru the machine, it printed out a ticket, he took the ticket and bet slip out of the machine, turned around and handed me my ticket, betslip and the five dollar bill! No, I didn't say a word... I should have but something told me this was an OMEN and out the door I went

Florida Scratch Offs - Post Pictures if posible
LOL. I feel the same way. I've been doing it with Lucky Money as well since it started and have only won $5. I wondered how the number system worked too since it's random but I just go with the flow. I mean since it's only a buck and ends in a few weeks (well the double payout promotion does) I would keep playing it. The only thing that worries/worried me when I play it is some person behind the counter seeing I wont a ez match for a good amount and tries to keep my ticket or something. Before I

Woman denied $43 million jackpot, offered steak dinner instead
I FIND IT VERY STRANGE THE CASINO DIDN'T NOTICE THE LARGE PAY OUT AMOUNT ON THE MACHINE UNTIL SHE WON? WHY IS THAT! She never won a jackpot; her actual winnings were $2.25, but the screen showed it was printing a cash ticket, below that $43 million and please remove ticket . The article doesn't say if the machine printed a ticket worth $43 million, but because she came back the next day to find out the exact size of her jackpot,. it doesn't look like she removed the ticket. If you checke

Woman denied $43 million jackpot, offered steak dinner instead
There never was a $43 million jackpot on that machine so the amount on the printing ticket message was an obvious malfunction. Below that is says remove ticket and seriously doubt the machine printed out a ticket valued at $43 million. But when she came back the next day to find out the exact size of her jackpot, a casino employee crushed her excitement. The screen showed the payout amount and said remove ticket so why did she come back the next day to find out the exact size of her winn
