Report Card Error?
This is the article causing the confusion, but it still leaves some question regarding the Cash 5 drawings:How the Millionaire Raffle winning ticket selection will be conducted 12-31-05On the evening of Dec. 31, 2005, (New Year s Eve), the Pennsylvania Lottery will use an Automated Drawing Machine or ADM also called a Random Number Generator to select 509 winning tickets at random from all of the Millionaire Raffle tickets sold.In this drawing, the Lottery will award four top prizes of $1 mi

Is it possible....
The bottleneck is printing the tickets...I wish I knew the exact amount of time it takes for a machine to spit out a five line ticket...let's say five seconds? One line per second, and you're able to commandeer a machine for an entire four days (Friday to Tuesday)...although, are ticket sales allowed in the early morning hours? But best case scenario, you can run numbers 24 hours a day...for nearly four days.In four days, you would need around 520 continuously running terminals to print out al

Missing numbers on lottery ticket
If u have a multi draw ticket, u can ask them to scan it but if u don't have any winners, the machine won't give u that new replacement ticket.

computers record the combinations played
recoding the combinations played is invasion of privacy and cheating. all thats needed is a encrypted serial number placed with each ticket to validate that ticket. you can call any vendor who manufactures any rng or ball machine to verify this. recording numbes played is not needed for security reasons at all. the tickets themselves are made of certain fibers and have hidden words and stuff within the entire ticket fibers. the machine pint head also is a special print head which is made for lot

Here's a game idea.
Ok. Here's my idea for a game. It would combine the fun of scratch-off games with the jackpots and wating of online games. You buy a scratch-off ticket, and then scratch it off to reveal a set of numbers. You have the machine operator enter the ticket into the computer system, making it valid for the next couple drawings. The machine operator would then stamp the ticket with the drawing dates it is valid for. Eventually, the lottery would draw the numbers, and the ticket that matches all of

If you found a winning lottery ticket what would you do?
If the ticket is a QP odds are the person who bought it and lost it has no clue what the numbers are. I buy QP's and never look at the numbers till the drawing. I also buy my own picks and usually use a card to put in the machine. That way I have proof of all the numbers on the winning ticket. So if I find a QP and it's a winner, it's mine. If I find a ticket with numbers picked buy an individual and more than one set of numbers on the ticket, I'd ask the lottery officials to see if the person wh

Two $31 million Mega Millions lottery jackpots won in Massachusetts in one week
I just tried to dream up a story about an MITer obtaining a lotto ticket printer and modifying the machine to print up a ticket with his numbers, but showing a QP, thereby masking how his/her numbers were picked. The MITer is working with an insider to rig the pick at HQ. The ball picking machine is rigged with magnets turned on at moment of draw. The MITer defeats the security through obscurity methods used at Mega Millions HQ.

California Scratch Offs
Thanks cape will do! maze is fun game, requires no thinking at all my kind of game. After that 5k hit do you go back to playing that ticket or is there a cool down period? Do you prefer to buy a ticket from a machine or from a person? I feel my big hits come from a machine. I'm buying that $20 crossword game in the name of research so hopefully I'll get an answer soon.

Vending Machine vs. Counter Scratchers
here in Florida you can ask the desk clerk to check the game by it's location on the machine and they can pull up what the ticket # is on and how many are left.. I do all the time when I buy from the machine. In my experience it makes no difference buying a ticket from the counter or the machine. Just a person's preference.

South Carolina lottery winner where are you? $1.5B still unclaimed, and clock is ticking
Perhaps the winning ticket didn't print due to a printer error. It happened to me a handful of times here in New York City. Sometimes the clerk running the machine doesn't figure out that the lotto printer is way low on receipt tape. Once that happens the lotto machine will not reprint another ticket with the same numbers even if you change the tape.
