California Lottery announces group as winners of historic $1.765 billion Powerball jackpot
Interesting. I think the education system in Britain is much better than United States. The British appear to understand probabilities much better. In Britain, most jackpots are won by pools. They are referred to as syndicates in Britain. There is mathematical proof. Your odds of winning increase dramatically with more tickets bought.

Mega Millions and Powerball offer $1.11 billion in combined lottery jackpots
You do not understand probabilities. Buying 2 tickets doubles your odds over 1 ticket. Buying 20 tickets is even better. You ask, why not play lotteries with more than half the matrix with jackpots in that range . Playing Mega Millions in a pool gives a better chance of winning a million dollars than playing a smaller matrix on your own. I have worked out the odds.

$36 million Mega Millions ticket sold in Florida goes unclaimed
This was the only unclaimed Mega Millions jackpot ticket in 2023 Only one? With just 6 jackpots in 2023 what are the odds that only 16.67% of them would go unclaimed? Using that math formula, 80% of $36 million is $28.8 million (which goes to education), and 20% is $7.2 million (going back to future prizes). Using a better formula 80% is $13.92 million because they're probably not going to put that money in to a 29 year annuity.

Thank you Todd
Don't know if this is the appropriate forum but I wanted to express my gratitude. This is your castle. You invited us all in and allowed us to speak. You built a place that minds can put thoughts to words. So I ask. Am I allowed to speak of things that that may be considered as mystical in a forum that you created to be mathematics, jackpots, pick 3, etc.? All things being relevant. Washing bottles ca be tedious. And sometimes necessary. I do not wish to create more problems for you. I know

lottery groups
The lottery group I belong to has started up again for the new year. I am in for the $810 million Powerball jackpot. Best way for a Canadian to get in on the big US jackpots. Or for anyone for that matter. Good luck to everyone and happy new year.

Massachusetts Lottery shakes up Megabucks game
I am afraid the 1.00 games will go the way of the 1.00 scratch ticket. This particular game which I have played since its inception has good value. They messed around with it over the years mostly just raising the matrix of numbers higher but made some adjustments in the secondary prizes along the way. Now, they have reduced the matrix by 5 numbers. Doubled the cost and doubled the secondary prizes. 44 numbers aren't bad for a 6 number draw game with no bonus ball which always annoyed me in othe

Follow the money...
And another thang...... Has anyone noticed that the methods outlined in the book are slightly different than the results you get from the software? Sometimes by a wide margin.... I tend to think the methods in the book are the ones to follow. Look at the GH ads divide the amount advertised said to be won by people using her systems by the number of claimed people who won using her systems and you will find that each person won a very small amount on average. I know it's an average but think abou

Well I thought about it
You're an idjit. Wheels may win something, like just enough to keep you wheeling, but overall QPs win jackpots. Don't believe it? How many winners claim they won using a wheel, mustard seed brain? G

Lawyer Reccomends NOT To Sign Ticket??
For me it would depend upon how much I won too. I've seen The Jackpot Winner's and Retailers Report and was shocked to see the winners name listed for the 1.58 million MM ticket sold in Atlantic Beach as they must have waived claiming pursuant to FS 24.051. I'm very surprised that their name hasn't been in the news. (If it has, I haven't seen it) There are a few other large jackpots (PB, MM, and Florida Lotto) that were won in August of 2023 that the winner did not waive FS 24.1051. Com
