Is there a limit?
visiondude: being someone who likes to play with numbers/odds, I agree with you about playing quick picks. You are as likely to win with a QP as you are playing with carefully selected combinations or playing a zillion tickets.I read awhile ago the only true way to reduce your odds on winning the Lottery to play more combinations. An example for MM1-combination, 135,145,920:11000-combinations, 135,146:1just to reduce the odds to 1000:1 you must play 135,000 combinationsSince it's not pratical

now let's consider this question of yours or rather bunch of them in one post... First of all I do not support the idea of using your own PRNG (pseudo random numbers generator) in order to created enough statistical data and then to make a conclusion or to chose a strategy based on those files' analysis for the following reasons: the answer is already known in advance... it's been mathematically and statistically proven already about 200 years ago by the mathematicians Gauss and Laplace.

Game - MegaMillions 2/3/04
Thanks for your input, lottograndma.I've thought about doing my analysis using numbers in the order that they occur, but this would require more logging than I can handle. I think that working with winning combinations in numerical order provides all the data one needs to make projections. But, there are no guarantees.I like to choose my own numbers and alpha-numeric substitution provides numerous clues on what might happen next. I might not choose the right numbers, but I'll be able to figure

Substitution workout for Powerballs
To anyone who cares. I recently decided that I would start playing MegaMillions when the revised matrix goes into effect. My substitution workouts are complete and I believe I could use my workout for Tx Cash 5 to win a million. Problem is, with 70 white balls, I would have to invest minimum of $18 per drawing. Why 18? In my lottery world, I believe I have the best chance of winning by wheeling 3 integers from each of the 7 decades, 21 total integers, to generate 9 combinations fo

Man, if I only had $362,000, I could have won 12.5 Million last night in the Illinois Lottery (6/52, 1-in 20Million chance, RNG)...... I wrote a program (still tweaking it) using Igor's methods. First I wrote a program to analyse what he discussed in the book such as distributions, rounds, singles, doubles, etc. Then I added my own of horizontal sums and odd numbers. My second program generated all (5-7 Million) combinations of the 4 top distributions I got from my analysis. I then we

Thank you for your detailed reply. In red was actually a quote from your post on page 2 of this thread, I didn't take it from your book. However, many questions are still remain. the quote from the book that you reposted here in red is exactly what actually happened... in that case it was not a matter of defining the field of possibilities ( which I did correctly) but only the matter of discipline... How do you define that you did it correctly? (Again, I am not asking it to take you

So for my 6/52 game that is 1326 possible unique combinations with 51 pairs of unique consecutive numbers. With 6 unique comes up with 12 different pairs. Therefore I need 1326/12 = 111 draws in a round for analysis. I should get 64 pairs with round (2/3 rule). Dziekuje Ci Last nights game I got 4 out of 10 tickets with a (minimum) win. Since overall odds are 11%, I can't complain.

Shun all Critical Trolls. Any acknowledgement of these Lower Creatures only emboldens them to vomit more. That Being Said, how about some technical questions and observations. I have been working on an Excel File that Counts the Number of Hits in 6 Rounds of 8 Consecutive Draws for CA Fantasy 5. 6 Rounds of 8 Draws is the Basic Block for your system so I wanted to take one of my old files and analyze the many columns (in addition to the hit counts for each Number) during a 48 Game Series t

Interesting Powerball fact discoveries
I'd say you're both right. They check the balls and don't use them as long as they believe that all of the balls are within spec, but that doesn't mean that every ball is perfect and exactly the same as every other ball. The variations will be minor, but they will be there, and it's reasonable to assume that some balls will be slightly more or less likely to be drawn. The question is how much more or less likely. If everything about the drawing was completely perfect and a single ballset was
