Florida has no state income tax but you would still need to pay your state tax if you live in another state. The no tax only applies if you are a resident of FL when you win. (Of course there is always federal income tax due.) Florida is a lot like Texas and doesn't tax income or dividends. However, they make up for it in property taxes and other fees. The wages in FL are also comparatively lower. Time*treat, there will definitely be some cannibalization, so I hope the Lotto Fantasy 5 jackpot

I consider MegaMoney a jackpot game. It is unique to Florida and has payouts from an initial $500,000 up to $2,000,000. I am doubting what is going on. The first week Powerball was available in Florida, the amount of ticket sales broke PB records. It is also the largest PB state. If you check the US Census Bureau, the four most populous states in the country are California, Texas, New York and Florida is a close 4th.
