Mega Millions or Powerball?
I don't think so. If people were really good at math then they wouldn't be playing a multi-state game at all. 80 million vs 180 million is still staggering odds for people playing only 1-4 dollars per drawing it wouldn't really make any real difference.

Problems with PB drawing?
I read this earlier on the internet. POWERBALL, May 26 /PRNewswire/ -- The Powerball drawing for Wednesday,May 25, 2005, was delayed 42 minutes due to a minor problem with Powerballsecurity procedures. The drawing was held in the presence of a city policeofficer and an independent auditing firm, was videotaped, and was displayed onthe Powerball website at http://www.powerball.com. The official numbers drawn were: 27-29-31-42-46 and the red Powerball: 33.The Power Play multiplier was 2.

if north carolina gets a lottery........
I do. Our director came from GA and she had Mega Millions and Lotto South. KY has powerball and lotto south and VA has Mega Millions along with Lotto South also. So I would say TN would have no problem going with another multi state game.

Powerball now has the top JP
It's about time we see Powerball on top again! However, if nobody wins Illinois Lotto tonight, then I still won't play Powerball even if nobody wins that either, as the Illinois Lotto will be at least $37.5 million for Monday and I don't play either multi-state game if I'm playing Lotto unless the multi-state jackpot is at least double the Lotto jackpot.

My MegaMillions Matrix Suggestion
If Mega Millions is so damned easy to win, then why are players winning at the slowest rate ever this year? This is the third straight run that made it past $100 million, something that has never happened before in either multi-state game. There have been only 2 MM jackpot winners so far this year, compared to Powerball's seven. I say the new 5/56 + 1/46 matrix is enough!

LOTTO South Jackpot Overlay
I think in the next two years that South Carolina and Tennessee will join lotto south. I saw a press release early this year from SC that said they and several other states are looking into a regional multi state game.

MEGAMillion drawing for 3/11
Quote: Originally posted by ryanm on March 10, 2005 Hah! As a rule, if the Illinois Lotto jackpot is large enough for me to play ($10+ million), then the multi-state jackpot has to be at least double the Lotto jackpot for me to play it as well.I feel the same way about CT Classic Lotto now. The annuitized jackpot is 1.5 times

South Carolina.
SC has announced that they are considering a multi-state regional lotto game. Could they be joining Lotto South? Wouldn't surprise me considering they have really good Powerball sales, but only 3 jackpot winners.
