Last night I was watching a scratch off scratch a full book of tickets on a live stream. This live stream has a chat box where viewers can chat with the channel creator and amongst themselves. Reviewing chat one person typed they won $119,000 on Florida Fantasy5. It caught my attention because most people chat about scratch off wins not typically draw ticket wins. I didn't really want to out myself more of a silent viewer. But I made note of the persons name to check the Florida lottery site

If you go to the Florida web site, there are many downloads. One of them shows the number of QPs vs the number of self-picks that won. However, as Texas MM wrote, if we don't know the number of QPs purchased, analyzing the data doesn't result in a definitive conclusion. I agree that your chances of winning are just as good if you buy a QP because the lottery is random and unpredictable (I hope) However, there have been many large jackpots won with self-picks. Then there are stories like this

If you scroll back in the report I posted above, (to 7/4/2023) you'll see the word EXPIRED in the winners name field of the report. Some poor soul won and subsequently lost $115,472 because they never claimed their jackpot winning Florida Fantasy5 ticket. Don't let something like that happen to YOU! I know I've posted the following info in this thread before, but for whatever it's worth I'll post it again. Jackpot amounts are simply a function of how many lines on tickets are sold. The more lines sold, the higher the jackpot amount that could be won. But sometimes there is no winner and a rolldown happens. That's because no one bought the five number combination (the line ) that had all five winning numbers on it. There are 376,992 possible combination of five number in a 5/36 matri
