$50M Canada lotto winner says he had a vision of winning numbers
LottoBux, I think he/she was responding to the comment above his/hers --from member RJOh. He was stating how apparently 'much was expected' from this lottery jackpot winner; yet little was received from him. It was an interesting 'live experience' response to the quote in this article. Noting that even none sharers have won lottery jackpots.

Players seek $250 million from Texas Lottery contractor
I really don't see them winning this lawsuit. The ticket might have been confusing, but like RJOh said being confused doesn't mean that you should get money that you were never entitled to in the first place.

Woman opts out of lottery pool, but co-workers give her cut anyway
That is very true RJOH......I think she will be in every future draw with the team ........they probably decided to give her some of the winnings so she wouldn't be a negative vibe within the group.....maybe she will buy tickets on her own too as well........... and if she wins...give some to the co-workers.......beaudad

$260 MILLION: Powerball lottery jackpot surges
Now, RJOh, don't forget about that Ohio Classic. I'm taking that one while you figure out how to deal with the $113 million after-tax headache of this thing...

NY brothers charged in plot to steal $5M New York Lottery ticket
RJOh, no assuming has occurred. My question hasn't been answered by a person in the know yet. Perhaps it will be later today or tomorrow though ... I'll keep looking/lurking in.

Iowa Lottery on the verge of revealing names of 'Shipping 20' winners
Thats a great idea,RJOH.Then they could be tracked and we could see who the worst repeat offenders are.I'm pretty sure there are people out there that hound winner after winner looking for a handout.

48 Philly transit workers win $172M Powerball jackpot
Personally,I agree with you,RJOH.But I can just see the lawyers chomping at the bit to try to get her to sue...so they can get a third of her winnings.Happens almost all the time when a pool wins.

Iowa Lottery security chief bent on determining identity of jackpot winner
Had to refresh my memory on that story, RJOH - happened back in 2001 - after he found the ticket (worth $46 million) in his junk drawer - he went to work with the ticket in his back pocket all day - after work he went to the store, had it validated and dropped ticket with claim form in a regular mailbox. Now that was just a regular guy who was obviously very, very lucky - can you imagine what would have happened if FedEx lost that Ohio ticket?!

Connecticut to audit lottery winners for back taxes
Like RJoh, I assumed all states did this. I seem to recall reading an article here on LP a few weeks back about Massachussetts going after a lottery winner who'd won millions. They assumed he was a 10 percenter : someone who cashes tickets for others who are trying to avoid paying child support or back taxes. So apparently MA does this as well. Does anyone know if all states do it? Or which ones do and don't?
