The Domino affect is in motion. Alabama,Alaska, Mississippi, Hawaii, Utah will sooner or later get caught in the lottery avalanche. Out here in California we told the lottery is all about SCHOOLS and that is the hook they play. Who on this green earth does not want to help the kids huh?

Ornery dog leads to $1M lottery win
I guess we can assume that the people from Utah are 'Jack' Mormons (Mormons that don't follow all the rules). The dog probably isn't a Mormon and as far as what the dog has to do with it, well, not everybody is as informed about lotto as the people here on LP, the press probably sees it as a great hunab (and dog) interest story, and as the late Kurt Vonnegu Jr said so often in his books, That moment in time was structured that way .

Some Baptists want Texas Lottery Commission shut down
Mormons don't ask for money until you join their church. After you're a member, they demand it. You can't be a member in good standing unless you're giving 10% of your income in tithe. Utah has never had a lottery. They want all the extra money going to the Mormon church, not into the state education system.

Mystery NH Powerball lottery winner gets her prize, keeps her privacy — for now
However, the longer she gets allowed to remain anonymous is a great potential precedent for future winners. If there's any precedent at this point it's just being allowed to claim the money before the lawsuit is resolved. Since we're still waiting on the ruling I don't think it's accurate to say that she's being allowed to remain anonymous. She's just being allowed to claim the prize while the court decides if it's the name she already signed on the ticket that gets released, or the name of

Lottery Post's guide to 2023 holiday raffles across the USA
I was up in Montana visiting a friend and I grabbed a few raffle tickets from two different stores on my way back to Utah. The lines were long and people were excited. I also picked up some Idaho raffle tickets along the way. But I'm more excited for Montanas drawing. I wish Florida would bring back their Raffle.... Cheers good luck everyone!!

New Mexico lawmakers introduce bill to end lottery
Lawmakers cite concerns over gambling-funded education By Kate Northrop A bill introduced to New Mexico state legislature proposed the idea of ending the New Mexico Lottery entirely. Lawmakers in New Mexico are discussing a bill that may shut down the state lottery, citing concerns about where money for the state's scholarship fund comes from. We're funding education through gambling, State Representative Matthew McQueen (D) said. Bipartisan House Bill 369, if passed, will en

Massachusetts Lottery to allow prize claims via mobile app
Good luck to you and all in the New Year. Sounds like you got your ticket from MA. My little 'hot streak' of hits in Oct and Nov seems to have come to an end. Keep getting two numbers two, three or four times a week and the third number will be one off. Very frustrating. When MA opened this game up for play in July 2018 ... I decided to play it hard for a year or two and go (hope) for a nice jackpot. I will probably cut back and play less after all my tickets run out. I do have one set of num

2nd lottery bill filed in the Alabama Senate
You're into one of those debates comparing apples to onions again! It should be obvious to anybody that religion is one of the underlying reasons Alabama is having difficulties creating a state run lottery. Never read where the legislators (for or against?) believed construction workers and school teachers in Alabama will flock to stores to buy lottery tickets on inclement days. Have no idea how casino gambling is even related to you offering your opinion why Alabama is having problems creati
