I've been using Gail's system for years. I play Hot Lotto and combine the Hot Ball with the other draws. To play the closest to the vest possible, I only play 20 games back, but do keep a separate sheet for cold numbers to watch. Anyway, what I have discovered with this particular game is if you play W for 12 numbers 9 times out of 10 it will show you the Hot Ball in those 12 numbers. 90% of the time it only gives 2 numbers that are drawn too. it will be nice if you could use this in hot lotto... one could argue that you could track the: hot cold of those: Singles or single doubles of the last 3 numbers... hots and colds should do it...or as you all do it: hot, warm and colds....

Thanks guesser. I think that you are right about the big games like Powerball and Megamillions. They hit all over the place and I don't think that they are worth that much to play them. Powerball will go to $2 next year I think. However for the OK Hot Lotto which is 1-39/1-19 there is a better chance. It starts at $1 mil and I have seen it go up to $12 mil. The reason that I use a chart and am looking for some software (like Expert Lotto, maybe) is to help me become a better student

I won the Pick 5 a few years ago (but got a smallish prize for it) by picking my own numbers from a program. Winning is very difficult but not impossible. It's just the odds are so great that it would be like picking a seat in one of several full stadiums. The only drawings that I don't trust too much are the RNG generated type like Hot Lotto and the PA Midday. Are the middle lotteries worth it?
When the Hot Lotto went to 1-47 I am thinking that it is not worth it. Here's some calculations I did and maybe Powerball and Mega Millions have a good spot to aim for, the 5 numbers. Getting the power ball along with the play is good. Perhaps the extra $1 is worth it. Who knows. Powerball: For 175,223,510 odds and starting jackpots at $40 million. $40 million / 175,223,510 is rounded to 23 cents payout per odd. $1 million / 5,153,633 is rounded = 19 cents.
