IMHO, Massachusetts should drop BOTH its 6/42 and 6/49 games and replace them with a 6/48 game for an unrelated reason: Both the 6/42 and 6/49 are ANNUITY ONLY (of course the 6/48 proposal would have a cash option.) I have been trying to figure out a good number for this weeks lottery drawing. I found some new tips I could use, in order for me to chose the right numbers. However, I am having difficulty figuring out what they are trying to say. Statistics from the prediction board should only be used as a guide because they can be misleading. There are 48 different pick 3 games per day in all states. I'll use 50 just to make it easier to do the math. Interceptor is picking one set of numbers per day for all states. That's 1(pick) x 50(Pick 3 draws) X 50(days)= 2500 predictions. 6 way box odds are 1/166, 3 way box odds are 1/333, Straight is 1/1000. Neither game's format has changed since _1991_! Even when Big Game began in 1996, MA did not change (or eliminate) either game. So, until 1999, there were _3_ annuity-only jackpot games in MA. Okay, I see what the issue is now. You and I are attempting to apply the same principle with two different games in mind for the most part. My focusing is geared exclusively to Pick3/4 whereas you include the smaller games but, apply the non-consistency and not winning principle more to the jackpot games and you'd be correct...to an extent. I agree and let me give you my perspective. It's much easier, and provable, to find consistency with repeating numbers in choosing 3/10 versus 6/49 or 6/52.

Rob: MA should drop BOTH Megabucks and Mass Millions and replace them with a 6/48 Wednesday-Saturday game with a CASH OPTION, and better prize returns for the lower tiers, including $5 for matching three numbers. Mass Cash does NOT need to be replaced-in fact, the pick-5 games in CT/NY/NJ/PA are drawn DAILY!

Dice vs Lottery Games: Is it Fair to Compare 1-1 vs 1-2-3-4 . . . ?
Is the reason why 7s show up most often in Dice, the same reason why 150 shows up most often as the Most Probable Sum in a 6/49 Lottery Game? or to ask the question another way, Is the reason why rolling a 1-1 or 6-6 infrequent for the same reason as why a draw of 1-2-3-4-5-6 or 44-45-46-47-48-49 is infrequent in Lottery? Still trying to get my head around this one. Your insights appreciated.
