Best/Worst state lottery logosReply
Just to be clear, Mississippi does NOT have a logo yet. The website that was constructed at mslottery.com is not an official website of the Mississippi Lottery, and whoever put it out there will likely get a takedown notice at some point, because they present it as if they are the real thing.

Mississippi will have a tough time getting a lottery for the same reason Nevada would have a tough time getting one... Casinos. Mississippi citizens that support gambling go to or work for Casinos... The rest are conservative and feel like gambling is the root of all evil... I doubt it will happen anytime soon.

my family is moving to Mississippi next year and I told my father that I don't know if I could go with them because there is no lottery......It would be great if there was a lottery in mississippi. If they do ever get on I think the best multi state for them to go with would be Mega Millions since its surrounded by Powerball states......with the exception of Alabama but if Al ever gets a lottery I see them going with PB not MM

There is no lottery in mississippi, or scratch offs. But mississippi is the 3rd largest gambling state for casinos in America. I live an hour away from 5 different casinos. Ameristar, golden moon, the rainbow, silver star, and 2 more. Someone explain the multiple reasons why so I can double check myself.

I live in Mississippi and we are last in everything..we will never get a lottery unless the majority of people voted on it and then I would think it might pass..would be nice to play in my own state but I dont look for that to happen anytime soon..maybe it should be a quest of mine..start pushing for a lottery in Mississippi..I wonder how many signatures or whatever would be needed to have it put on a ballot to be voted on..looks to me like the state wouldnt mind having another cookie jar..LOL

Mississippi and Alabama already have a form of gambling instituted in their states. The voters have turned the Lottery down so far. I think Mississippi would be a MM state because Mississippians go to Louisiana to play PB. Alabama might be a PB since MM is in neighboring Georgia. Mississippi. Was close in the vote last year. The Gulf Coast Casinoes were destroyed by Katrina and few have re-opened. Casinos have flourished in Mississippi In Natchez, Philadelphia, Vicksburg, and the Gulf Coast.

I buy mine with My Visa card online..its the only way I can play..maybe oneday sorry a$$ Mississippi will get a lottery but I am not holding my breath..lol..one of my Teachers in College use to tell us that as soon as they make Puerto Rico a state Mississippi will not be last in everything anymore..lol

jack,new mexico uses the RNG.its a computer drawn state.interesting fact most people don't know is that every state west of the mississippi river uses computer draws except texas and oklahoma.the reverse holds true in the fact that almost every state east of the mississippi uses ball draws with the exception of two or three states.
