If you did win the jackpot...would you let a store clerk scan the ticket??
Not a chance. I use the self scanner to check my tickets and if I suspected I had the big winner due to a weird message to see the retailer I would go out to my car and check the numbers one by one.

If you did win the jackpot...would you let a store clerk scan the ticket??
In Ohio if you winning ticket is worth $600-$5000, you have the option of going to a retailer and having your ticket scan for a pay to bearer slip and a claim form which can be taken to a local authorized bank to receive your money. Other wise you have to travel to a regional lottery office to claim any winnings over $599.

What is your experience??
Ohio did a nice job to expedite their original process. The first time I hit the pick-4, the clerk where I bought the ticket didn't know if they had a claims form or how to fill it out after they found it. When it was finally filled out and I found the nearest cashing bank (25 miles away), it needed notarized so I stopped at an Auto Dealership on the way to the bank and waited 20 minutes while the Notary was in the bathroom. The Bank Teller asked if I had an account at their bank and because

Cheating Clerk?
Which state lottery doesn't require winners to be kept by the retailer as back up? Sounds suspect to me. Finding a completely trustworthy clerk is very important much like finding a good honest mechanic. I always go to the same store and have a good rapport with several of the clerks as I'm in there 4-5 times per week for tickets and other items. Good for Token calling this guy out AND knowing the value of his winning tickets.

How many people are making a resolution to spend less on the lottery in 2013?
I don't spend much on lotteries and am not here to shed a negative light on those who do. Playing the lottery should strictly be for entertainment and not a last grasp to get funds to pay your bills. Having spoken frequently with a local retailer, he tells me many will drop $100-$200 a week on tickets with many being scratch offs. Half that amount could easily go toward a retirement account which would get you several millions tax free when you retire assuming you had it invested in a Roth IRA f

How to Get New York Lottery Quick Draw Results?
I don't know if it's possible. I doubt the Lottery makes a live feed available to outside parties, so I think your choices are 1) wait for the daily dump or 2) go to a Quick Draw retailer and take notes.

The Invisibility Of Randomness In Lottery Games.
I went to a lottery retailer to buy a $10 Mega Millions ticket today. I decided not play once I got to the store, I felt that the jackpot was too low to spend my money on it.

Would you keep your word??
In Texas prizes over $599 and up to and including $1,000,000 must be claimed at a claim center or by mail. She may well have gotten ripped off. Or she didn't want to claim it at a claim center so she made a deal with the retailer.

Would you keep your word??
In Ohio, any ticket that wins over $599 and less than $5000 have to be verified by a retailer and taken to an approved bank to get the money or can betaken to a regional lottery office as are all tickets winning $5000 or more.
