Curious about rules on selling lotto tickets
If you won the Lottery, I can see no reason why the retailer would not continue to sell you lottery tickets. Even if they did, I am sure there are other retailers that would be happy to take your money. If you were to hit a jackpot again, (odds are really against it) it would be better for the retailer as his/her establishment would go down as having mutilple winners, which in turn would in and of itself help sales.

do you have one place you consider lucky where you play lottery?
About 99% of the time, I go to my local 711 to purchase my tickets. Occasionally, like this morning, I will go off the beaten path and go to another store, not another 711. In fact, this is the store where I asked the guy: has anyone ever won here? He replied, yes, a guy won $5,000.00 and he didn't give me anything! So my reply was: does he still come in here for more tickets? The retailer said, yes, he still comes! Now, that's an interesting dialogue between store retailer and lottery custo

Not all Retailers Pay Out to $599
When stores sign up to sell the lottery, they sign a contract with the state lottery -- a service level agreement. The contact states what the store is expected to do as a retailer. In order to be a lottery retailer, it's my understanding that stores are required to be in a position to cash winning tickets up to the maximum $599. Even if they're not, I would recommending reporting your experience to the state lottery, with as much detail as possible about what happened.

Not all Retailers Pay Out to $599
Okay I didn't know how to title this topic, but it deals with my frustration today. Yesterday I won my first straight box for pick 3(yeah!) and I live in California so we have pari-mutuel pay-outs and my pay out was $436. In California like other states I've played lotto, on the back of the play slip it says you can cash up to $599 at participating cashing retailer. Now I just assumed that meant a terminal with an attendant who cashes prizes like when I win 3/5 on Fantasy Five. Well I go to

Jackpot Win at my usual store!!
Funny - not only have I thought about this, but today I almost went to another retailer since there have been so many winners lately at Publix. If you pick your own numbers, it should have absolutely no effect at all, since it only matters if they are drawn. However, what about quick picks? I've seen press releases announcing winners from the same store on different dates, but does this mean it's less likely someone will hit a big jackpot there the next week? Maybe it doesn't make sense, but

What If You Lost a $40 Million Dollar Ticket?
When you walk into your local lottery agent or retailer to purchase lottery products whether they are scratch tickets or instant tickets or terminal tickets or online tickets. The function of the state lottery terminal which is connected through the internet to a system is to verify winnings and produce terminal tickets. When you want to play tickets from the terminal which is connected to the internet the ticket produced is called an online ticket. All games produced through the lottery term

What say ye, 'double quick pick' or not?
You are getting too technical here. The answer is simple. To the lottery a QP is a number generated by the lottery terminal at the retailer. You can call a number anything you want, but it isn't officially a QP. I was trying to think of a good analogy, but nothing is coming up in my head. No matter how it is chosen, if you need to write it on a card and it doesn't come from the retailer, it is not a QP. Okay, since nothing is clicking I will use this: Somebody introduces you to a woman. Yo

What VALIDATE TICKET means?
These are the rules on the Ohio Lottery website. If you win up to $599, you can collect from any lottery retailer. If you win between $600 and $5,000, the lottery retailer will check your ticket and give you a PAY TO BEARER ticket and a claim form to take to a bank-cashing location in your area where you can receive payment by presenting proper identification. The bank will charge a processing fee of $10 for this service. If you win more than $5,000, you have to contact the nearest Lo

New FL Fantasy 5 is BOOMING
Quote: Originally posted by Tnplayer805 on March 25, 2006 I have a question about EZplay. If you win something and cash it in are the numbers still good? The retailer tried to keep my ticket but I demanded it back. This is why I have a number I call 20 minutes after the drawing and find out the winning numbers that

"Taping" in advance & Conspiracy Theories
I did a little research on the current auditor on MM and they were indicted by the US government(AND FOUND GULITY!!!) a few years back just like Author Andersen-remember them-but were allowed to stay in business because shutting them down would cause more harm than good.So yes positively no bull this same firm audits the MM right NOW!!!My guess is they know the numbers ahead of each draw and -yes it gets worst-they send out winning numbers on the lower wins to select terminals to give select wi
