Statistically Speaking - QP's and PP's
work time. later tonight, i will live up to my own integrity test , and show you guys how strength of position works in life by backing up my claims that systems aren't any better than QP's. i will do, what none of you are obviously willing to do. (i am referring only to the ones that HAVE posted in this thread, and have REFUSED to) i will stick my neck out as far as it CAN go, and put up something that will actually cost me. this is an anonymous board, and yet none of you are ev

Poll: Should we try a little harder to keep the discussions about all things Lottery?
Granted the prayer thread went off on many rabbit trails, but I voted Maybe in this poll. Mainly I was thinking about Mystical. there's an awful lot of information we could be swapping with each other that doesn't necesarily have to be focused on lottery. Sadly, 99% of that forum is nothing other than a request for dream numbers and anything other than that gets buried in a few hours, but it still has a lot of potential. It really would be nice to have a sub-vforum Things Mystical or have t

So you won a jackpot! Congrats!
GiveFive, First, this quote comes to mind: Success is a relative term. It brings so many relatives. - Anonymous How true. The situation you describe is certainly a sticky wicket. There's been threads here about two series that are shown on TLC, the Learninng Channel, Hoe the Lottery Changed My Life, and the Curse of the Lottery. Most of the programs are follow up interviews with jackpot winners, and large scratcher prize winners. One lady in St Louis kept saying when you wi

Lottery winnings and divorce
I guess if it were me.... I'd have to win first. What are the odds? Then would I be able to claim anonymously or not? If I was required to go public....the only people I would trust would be my parents and brother... work out some kind of an arrangement where they would claim, set up an entity that would allow the assets to be shielded and I could share the wealth. If it were anonymous, I would get the divorce over with, claim with a trust and work out some arrangement to payoff

Please Put yourself in My Shoes: Playing Politics with Powerball..
Pumpi, You need to stop writing about this publicly immediately - the fate of many individuals and nations depends on it. For the record, you are correct. The lottery is totally and easily beaten. I myself have won several times. You've never heard of me because I pay off others to collect my money so that I can remain anonymous. There are seven of us - with you eight - that now know the lottery system that wins every time and only costs $78 to play. Kudos on figuring the system out...

Top Ten Lottery Tragedies
I agree Anonymity would not have helped theses situations. For some, put alot of money, achoholism, drug addiction, the need for attention (like agreeing to be featured in a tv program like the lottery changed my life ) just shouts disaster. There are thousands of lotter winners that we don't hear about who knew what to do after their win. As they say If you are a miserable person with a ten dollars, you will be miserable with a ten million. IMHO - successful lottery winners. 1

How would you allow yourself to change if you won?
I think the best part of playing the lottery is allowing yourself to imagine how you would do things if you won the jackpot. So I got to thinking, why not post this question on here? I'll go first: First, I would remain anonymous. For at least one year, I would not tell anyone, especially my parents, since we tend to argue over things often, especially over financial matters. For that year, I would *attempt* to remain at work, and I think I could do it. In the meantime, I'd buy a new house, b

Why you should try to remain anonymous if you ever win a jackpot!
Don't believe me? Let me share an example. I collect my paycheck every two weeks. No one has ever seen me collect my paycheck and expect me to give them some money just because I got paid. I collect a $100 powerball win, and half the people I tell say, I guess you are buying lunch. If you win, and are not anonymous, everyone that knows you won your money, instead of earned it, is going to expect their free lunch from you. I totally agree. I won 1k on a scratcher in Ga last yea

Names for Lottery Tickets
Okay, Pac. So you think I should perhaps come up with a new, unique topic like Quick Picks or Your Own Numbers? Annual Payments or Lump Sum? What would you do if you won the PB? Would you want to remain anonymous? How much money would you give away? Where would you live if you won a jackpot? Would you quit your job if you won the lottery? How do you pick your numbers?

List of States Which Allow Anonymous Winners
Missouri: (Website FAQ): If I should win the jackpot, do I have the option of remaining anonymous to the public and the media?Missouri state law requires the Lottery to release your name, cityof residence and the amount of the prize. You will also be asked, but are not required, to participate in a newsconference, most likely at the store where you purchased your winningticket. News conferences can also be held at a Lottery office. Thisprovides the media with a single photo opportunity
