I bring sad news to LP tonight.
My condolences Miss you guys Maddog,Four4me,CoinToss,Jap,Bob,Red,Todd,etc. My Uncle Willie passed away on the second of February i will miss him he played a huge part in getting me into the fun of gambling going to the dog/horse track when i was younger which later blossomed into my love of lottery as well. The Mississippi state line is about 30 minutes from me thinking about playing some Cash 4 numbers on their new pick 4 game. I missed out out on the quads recently

Do you think Powerball will spread to the 6 remaining non-playing states?
With the representatives of Alabama finally seriously considering getting Powerball, do you think the representatives of Alaska, Hawaii, Mississippi, Utah or Nevada will try to follow suit?

Foreigners winning US Lottery Money
Yeah, the monies should stay with the U.S and its territories that have lotto. It looks like you're saying the people in Nevada, Utah, Alabama, and Mississippi shouldn't be paid if the win a jackpot in another state because their state has no lottery? I'm against the online lotto game offerings. That's your opinion and just because this is a lottery discussion forum, why not explain why you're against a state lottery selling tickets online.

Are you ready for the attention?
Am I ready for the attention? As ready as I'll ever be. I think I can handle it. Of course, that 1 billion would only be - depending upon the taxes in your state of residence - around $600 million. It's a little depressing to think of the $400 million handed over to Uncle Sam which wouldn't even cover govt. spending for an hour. However, it would be satisfying knowing that huge chunk of money would benefit our wounded military, help single mothers feed their children and be used to assist

Lottery Wins From Out of State
PrisonerSix Given the way that guy from overseas kept repeating this thing about playing Megabucks from out of state, I thought everybody in LP had picked up on it. It is the perfect setting for lottery enthusiasts who live in Mississippi, Alaska, Alabama, Utah and Nevada where there is no state lottery available. Crazy Wombat taxes are paid at source of income. 5% state and 25% Federal would be withheld if you win big in MA. The Megabucks Doubler jackpot is $4.8M so I would encourage you all

I Almost Won 30 Million Ten or So Years Ago
Yes very true CajunWin4, but you know who would cry over spilled milk, I mean who made up that phrase and why??? And heyyy like 3 or so years ago my oldest sister and I drove to Louisiana. We went to Lafayette and visited the Vermilion Ville, there was a small in scale exact replica of it made out of wood for sale for hundreds of dollars, if I would had had the money I would had bought it and gotten it sent special delivery home here. 7 States I Would Not Live In
Alabama, Alaska, Hawaii, Mississippi, Nevada, Utah, and Wyoming. Why? They have no Lotto. Although winning chances are slim. Playing the Lotto offers the chance to dream especially in tough economic times. Lottos in most states go to benefit state education and scholarship programs too.

II. History of Gambling in the United States Examining the history of gambling in North America suggests important conclusions that are useful today in considering policies related to gambling.
