Countdown to Powerball in Florida
I'm gonna keep playing the Fl Lottery and Powerball. Come on big winner!!! Daddy needs a new pair of shoes. I also plan on helping many people less fortunate than me. Here's info from the Fl Lottery website: Starting in January, America s game will be available in Florida! With jackpots starting at $20 million and increasing with each rollover, POWERBALL offers players the chance to win BIG for just $1 per play. And, for an additional $1, players can multiply their non-

The Wire Act
Credit card companies may view payments directly to a state lottery as being different than other forms of gambling, and/or they might not have a clue what the payment is for depending on whether they payee is State lottery or State treasury or something else. That's why you can sometimes use a credit card to buy lottery tickets at a retailer. Typically the credit card company will only know how much the charge is and who the payee is, so to them it's no different than paying for anything else s

People please! Throw away your unwanted Lottery slips!
One day a few years ago, I intended to play $2 in Play 4. The Lottery Retailer told me I owed $6! I was like, WHAT? He then informed me that I had played a $4 Powerball ticket. I had accidentally picked up an unwanted Powerball slip that someone else had bubbled in for $4 and left it in the Lottery slips station, and I accidentally picked that up too and accidentally handed it to the Lottery Retailer. I asked him to cancel the $4 Powerball ticket as it was a complete accident. He informed me tha

Annoyed while waiting in the lottery line - Venting
Use a self-service terminal, if that option is available. NJ Lottery allows Powerball to be purchased for up to 8 draws (4 weeks) in advance. Playing ahead eliminates extra trips; helps justify making a further journey to a more competent lottery retailer to avoid such problems. Many independent convenient stores are sketchy. One has to really watch everything. I don't even trust checking my tickets at some of them unless I know for sure they're able to cash it on the spot. While it's extreme

According to my retailer there is a new national lottery game coming
She told me about the GA 7500 week for life game about two weeks before it came out, she showed me the promotional material she wasn't allowed to post up at the time. She said there is a new super lottery with a $5 price point coming by the end of the year, the goal is to have high 9 figure jackpots and the worlds first billion dollar jackpot. At the current matrixes it will be highly unlikely along with the low starting points to ever see a billion dollar jackpot. I heard about this website

favorite retailer to play at?
My favorite retailer is one that has a machine that usually works. That's usually Rite Aid or Albertson's. My least favorite retailer is one where the % *# machine never works. I just came from Fred Meyer at Franklin and Orchard where I tried to use a play slip for a $1 Hot Lotto and, as usual, it won't take the play slip. I've complained and complained for a couple years but it never gets fixed. I pretty much quit going to that Fred Meyer for anything, because I'd rather go somewhere I

Introducing Ira Curry
I kind of think $1 Million for the store is a bit much. CA is among the highest retailer jackpot bonus at 0.5% up to $1,000,000. Many other states cap it at $10,000. That money they pay for retailer jackpot bonus is money that could go back into better payouts on games for players. Cali is several years behind the more mature lotteries on the east coast. Look how long it took us to get $10 Scratchers, and just this year got a $20 Scratcher. We're also slightly behind the big ones on total pay

When do you sign your name on your lottery tickets?
The ticket doesn't need a legal signature. You can print your name on it with butterscotch if you want to. What matters is identifying the ticket as yours. Your actual signature may be best, but even if it just says John Smith in machine lettering it will at least make it very difficult for anybody who isn't named John Smith to cash it. Assuming it has to be cashed at a claim center, that is. If it can be cashed at a retailer there's nothing to stop the retailer from simply making sure the ti

Mega Millions Enhancements comming
Wow, I just checked out the Ohio lottery retailer section. Now, not only does Ohio have to tell PA how to run a turnpike they also have to tell Michigan how to run a Lottery website. Here is the Michigan retailer section - http://www.michigan.gov/lottery/0,4603,7-110-42426---,00.html No comparison
