Perfect set of odd-numbered results drawn
If you woke up this morning and discovered you were a Florida Fantasy 5 winner, you have plenty of company.
There were 98 players last night who picked the pedestrian numbers of 1-3-5-7-9, so they'll all share from the Fantasy 5 pool. Their take? $1,995.32 each.
The Florida Lottery's Shelly Safford notes that of the 98 winners, only one was a quick pick.
"Obviously, a lot of players pick those numbers," she said.
Nobody has exact stats, but general belief is that because so many players pick birthdays and anniversaries, the numbers 1 through 31 are played more frequently. So any jackpot with all the numbers 31 and lower is often shared, she notes.
Safford figures 1-3-5-7-9 is also just a quick way to get a ticket, and that some players have been choosing them for years. It's likely the second-most picked sequence, behind 1-2-3-4-5, which has never hit, she notes.
Tuesday night's Fantasy 5 is actually not the highest number of winners ever in Florida's Fantasy 5 game. However, it is the highest in the current version of Fantasy 5. Safford said that in the early versions of the game — the lottery started in 1989 — players had to select five of only 26 numbers. That easier version of the game produced more than 100 top prize winners nine times.
In July 2001 it became five of 36. In that version of the game, the most winners had been 47 and they each won a little over $4,500.
Fantasy 5 payouts usually range from about $50,000 when there are a few winners to $250,000 if there is a single winner statewide.
Congrat's to these big winners!
Hopefully many may now retire to live the good life. 98 fantasies all fulfilled in a one shot deal, dreams do come true.
wry sense of humour you have, lol
Will they all retire early ................
Congrats
does this count as a jackpot win?
If you win 10 of 'these', you could qualify as a '10' time winner
still not enuff to retire
Through shrewd investment portfolio's, and a thrifty lifestyle.......anythings possible. After all this is America.
Once knew a guy who retired on $500.
Congrats to the winners.......
See thats what I'm talking about, every state should have some kind of system in play so many can win. It's not as much as large one but,but the odds are so much better,I dont play in Tennessee but I will play a Raffle.
I bet if there was a game to play each week in your state that will give (say)100 $5000.00 prizes ,Friday night game.People would jump all over it and it would be the best game and the most in revenue...I know I would play it more than any game out there. And if there were such a game to come out in Georgia or Kentucky count me in.
I would be in too!
You show Dayton, Ohio as your location and Ohio has pick3=$500, pick4=$5000, pick5=$50,000, Rolling Cash5=$100,000, Classic Lotto=$1,000,000 along with MM and PB so what don't they have you would like to play?
I could do that also, with a sleeping bag and a cozy spot under an overpass ...........
With 1-3-5-7-9 being the second most played combination to 1-2-3-4-5, I'm guessing 2-4-6-8-10 can't be far behind.
Now your using your thinking cap dpoly!
You'll be in that Bentley in no time flat.
I would never play Mass Cash (5/35) with such a simple combination. It seems simple, no?
Imagine how high the people who checked their Fantasy 5 tickets felt before they went to bed
knowing they have won over 100 thou then waking up and being told sorry sir, you get $1,995.32.
I know, its still better than winning nothing but that gotta hurt.
Looks like at least two people had multiple plays...
I know that I would be seriously unhappy if my jackpot numbers FINALLY hit and I only collected $2k... talk about a let down!!
This seems to happen alot here in Florida. Here a few I can remember:
47 winner played 14-15-16-17-18 for $4,581.74.
24 winners played 2-4-6-8-12 for $8,552.30
*I can only imagine what they would have won if the numbers were 2-4-6-8-10
jc
goes to show any combination of numbers is possible and of course many are willing to play those numbers.
Just like playing the date for pick 3 and 4. You will hit once in a while for sure if you can get the number in before it is played out and locked.
The number 911 is heavily played when that date rolls around, and is usually locked out within a couple hours, in all states that have pick 3 games.
Most every "How to Play the Lottery" guide I have ever read says don't play these sort of numbers.
I would like to see a big JP game hit 01-02-03-04-05 just to see how many thousands of players play
these numbers. Every set has the exact same odds but a person should use their head at least a little
bit when they play. Congrats to the winners, 2K is a fair chunk of change.

Imagine sleeping all night figuring that you won $195,000 thenwaking up finding that you won $2K....... yikes.
Yowie, I won $10 on 3 yames tonight.
I can't retire either.
You can't retire from being retired. If I did I would have to go to work! I don't wanna do that!
Worst yet, think about the friends, neighbors and relatives who won't be able to ask for a little $10K loan.
LOL now that was funny! Because it was so true.
"It's likely the second-most picked sequence"
Gee, if only there was some way that they could actually know for sure...
Just like when Pennsylvania Cash 5 had a draw of 5-10-15-20-25!
CASH 5
02/06/04
Winning Numbers: 05 10 15 20 25
242 players matched 5, each receiving $439.00
402 players matched 4, each receiving $110.50
6269 players matched 3, each receiving $7.50
56593 players matched 2, each receiving $1.00
I just logged in to post about the Cash 5 drawing in PA and see that you posted ahead of me ... good work, I never forgot that drawing ... some people going to bed that night thinking their "ship" had finally come in ... only to find out the next morning that a "rowboat" was sitting in the harbor!
There was also a Treasure Hunt drawing on Dec 04, 2010 ... 1,2,3,4,5 that had a large number of winners. It's a "Cash 5" like game that goes off in the afternoon.
12/04/10
Winning Numbers: 01 02 03 04 05
49 players matched 5, each receiving $1,266.00
117 players matched 4, each receiving $100.00
1,827 players matched 3, each receiving $6.00
13,940 players matched 2, each receiving $1.00
It's just not a good idea to play common or easy picks ... or else the reward will probably be small. Even odd ball picks can sometimes have many winners or more than you would expect. Some years back in PA, again with the Cash 5 game ... the numbers came out ... all in the 30's ... I figured no one would have those numbers and the jackpot would surely carry over ... nope, there were three winning tickets, I guess maybe quick picks, can't imagine someone would play all five numbers in the 30's, so anything can happen.
...
wow so next time if you hit the 'jackpot' and your numbers are similar to these
don't be too excited as you may not exactly be the sole winner
" Ouch! "
