A player in Switzerland scooped a huge £43.9 million (US$83 million) Lottery jackpot Friday night.
The Euro Millions prize the biggest since the game began in February of 2004 created a 400% surge in UK ticket sales.
Ben Rosier, spokesman for National Lottery operator Camelot, said: There was one lucky jackpot winner in Switzerland, so one mystery player has just become very, very rich.
The winning numbers in Friday's EuroMillions draw were 31, 50, 25, 11, 07 and the Lucky Stars were 03 and 01. The total jackpot was £43,960,693.
Next weeks Euro Millions jackpot will be an estimated £10 million, Camelot said.
The previous biggest National Lottery jackpot was on January 6, 1996, when three winning tickets shared a Lotto jackpot of more than £42 million.

according to www.xe.com it's 83 million not 56.9 million. Look forward to euromillions online to get working again.
83 million dollars is the correct exchange amount for 43 million quid (as we English call 'em)
Sorry, that's my fault, I translated Euros instead of pounds. I will correct it.
